We have been in our house over a year and have just been mowing the back garden to stay on top of it, we put the shed at the bottom in for the mower and planted the fruit trees also had to replace the fence on the right with our neighbour.

Previously it was left wild for 4 years while the house sat empty so there are alot of weeds mixed in but i just mow over them.

I would like to incorporate more wild flowers and more of the natural countryside we live in rather than purely just turf but i need something minimal maintenance due to being on with other jobs.

My mrs wants to make sure there is stil plenty of turf for the dog but other than that any advice on what you would do with the space and how best i can go about transforming it, for reference we are north west and on clay soil. Thank you!

Hello all we acquired this old stained glass piece from an auction assuming it comes from a pub of the same name. We want to mount it on an interior door however the piece itself is very flimsy and bows easily I am concerned if just mounted around the edge it would collapse under its own weight nevermind the dynamic loading of a door. How would I go about reinforcing it or supporting it better? I had thought of building a type of picture frame with cross bracing to hold it with timber but obviously this would ruin the look of the piece, all advice appreciated 🤘

Hello all I just wanted to check if i am mole ploughing correctly. We have a rather wet section of paddock where a number of natural springs are close to the surface and clay soil. I wanted to attempt to improve the drainage on the cheap so got this mole plough 2nd hand and have had a crack at using it.

I'm running a 1982 zetor 65hp i put it in 3rd low with rear arms set to P to hold position and dropped it around 13inches below the surface at the dyke im linking to. I then let the clutch out and chugged through the field at around 1100rpm which it seemed quite happy with.

A few times I hit what felt like some fairly substantial rocks but kept going however a few times i was unnerved by how loud the bangs were and brought the plough up for fear of damaging the tractor. Currently the plough doesn't have a 'bullet chain' on the rear and ive heard mixed opinions as to how much of a difference this will actually make but i just wanted to clarify if you just set the depth and chooch through whatever is in the way or am i better in draft/ mixed to take load off the tractor?

I keep seeing people trying to justify compact tractors on small plots, we only have 3 acres and somehow my mrs signed off on this 1982 3000hr 65hp 4wd zetor 6945.

main justification was the low hrs, hopefully reliability and loader capable of handling large round bales for winter hard standing with the combination of the cab makes my life alot more pleasant in winter.

we also thought since we dont have alot of grass we should look after it as best we can, we also plan to move to a larger plot down the line.

now used for harrowing, ferting, seeding, rolling, muck bucket, log splitter & log transportation, general bucket work, mole ploughing and anything else i can do to justify it!

up to now its had all fluids and filters changed and or cleaned, a new sump gasket, new lift pump and sediment bowl all done by myself so only paying parts cost now runs great and everything works just need to get it in road legal state

Hi all, have a quicke 2300 loader that i want to take off but im unsure of a safe cheap and easy way to support it when disconnecting does anyone have any recommendations?? sorry this is my first tractor so i am unfamiliar
