Honey🍯 by Marc Jacobs

I know this fragrance is retired but I'd never smelled it before. I found a full bottle for sale on Ruelala for $36 (🚨deal alert!🚨) and decided to blind buy it! I figured if I don't like it at least the bottle is cute lol Marc Jacobs always has the cutest bottles. It was such a good decision, I'm so pleased. I was on the hunt for something with honeysuckle or pear and this has both.

This fragrance is lovely and perfect for spring/summer. I was expecting a more prominent honey scent but I smell more of the fruits and florals, which is fine by me. It reminds me a bit of Clinique Happy. I turned right around and ordered a second bottle 😆🤭 I know I will be using this often & I hate that I wasn't into fragrances when it was in production and easily accessible! 😩

Does anyone else have this or the flankers? What are your opinions?

Nebular Fragrance Review

My super delayed review of the Nebular fragrance "Stardust sample set" I bought last month. The entire brand only has 4 fragrances. Each one is unisex and definitely has a time & place and brings a different vibe! As a science nerd I also appreciate how each one has a space related name lol.

I don't see myself buying a full bottle of any of them anytime soon but if they ever come out with minis then I might! They have a quiz online to find your scent. I took it twice and it said my smell is HALO and SUPERNOVA. At first smell, I wasn't particularly drawn to any of these but after smelling my test strips again another day and on my skin, I actually enjoy all 4 of the fragrances.

HALO

Smells clean and fresh, similar to fresh laundry. If it was a candle I'd burn it after deep cleaning my whole house lol

Scent Notes:

Top Notes: Aldehydes, Lemon, Baies Roses

Heart Notes: Freesia, Cyclamen, Rose, Geranium

Base Notes: Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Cashmeran

SUPERNOVA

The website has images of a confident lady going for a night out on the town with this fragrance. Tbh that's not the vibe I get from it. I get more of a warm comforting vibe from it. Like a night in with my lover vs a night at the club with my girls.

Scent Notes:

Top Notes: Neroli, Orange Blossom

Heart Notes: Marshmallow, Cashmere

Base Notes: Cedar, Amber, Musk

AUORA

I was most pleasantly surprised by Auora! To me this seems like the most masculine-leaning of all of them, but still unisex. I liked it on myself but I think I would love it on my man. The rum, tobacco and honey came out the strongest to me. The dry down was warm and seemed just as potent as when I first put it on. Definitely a gourmand, so I'm interested to see how different it will wear in colder months.

Scent Notes:

Top Notes: Rum, Sesame

Heart Notes: Honey, Cinnamon, Tobacco

Base Notes: Caramel, Tonka, Amber/Ambroxane, Javanol, Musk

ONE GALAXY

This is the most quiet fragrance of the bunch. There's something almost citrusy about it. Their website recommends this one for layering with the other fragrances to make them stand out more and stay on longer, but worn alone, it's very subtle and intimate. I could see myself wearing it on a day when I want to wear something but don't want to be loud or particularly noticed for my fragrance. I'm relatively new to the fragrance world so I've never smelled a "skin scent" but I think this might be one.

Scent Notes:

Top Notes: Pepper

Heart Notes: Rose, Orris

Base Notes: Javanol, Ambroxan, Musk

Either impending doom or the first sunlight after the storm

Sorry if rainy themes are too common in here. It's been storming so much where I live this week that I want to bottle up vibes and wear it.

A: The feeling when you're standing outside before a big storm. A breeze picks up and there's anticipation, electricity, impending doom, dark ominous clouds on the horizon. It feels dramatic and cinematic and maybe even calm despite all of the other descriptions lol.

B: On the flip side there's the feeling when the storm is ending. The sun breaks through the clouds and everything feels safe and alive. Birds are chirping, animals emerge from hiding and you can smell the fresh earth. It might still be raining but now it's gentle instead of ominous.

Nebular fragrances?

I'm curious if anyone has tried this brand before and what your overall impression was? I was considering the sample kit to try it out but I feel like I never see anything about this brand 🤔

Family photos 📸 (my collection)

Hunting for retired and discounted Pandora has been my hyperfixation for about a year now. I'm finally feeling not-hyperfixated anymore lol and slowing way down on my collecting. Lately I've been in the process of solidifying what I definitely want to keep and separating the pieces I don't reach for.

Took some family photos! Here are my bracelets ✨️

Other charm brands in my collection (not necessary shown in the pictures) include Elfbeads, OHM beads, Chronicle, Chamilia and a few random ones from aliexpress

My braids over the years

I've been doing my own braids & protective styles since the end of 2019 to save money. I don't do it very often and I'm nowhere near perfect or professional level but I like to have fun. Here's my braids over the years! The first pic is the passion twists that started my diy journey leading to present day in the last pic

Opinions on Marc Jacobs Daisy Murakami Pink?

I was able to find it online and I am seriously considering buying it but I'm wondering if it's worth it? I already have Daisy Love & Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, both of which I love. Would you say Murakami Pink is too similar to those or pretty different? Or overrated? I smelled it before but it's been a while.

Feel free to influence, defluence, or recommend something else. I just want the tea!
