EPFO Delinking Update - “Pending at DA” approved, now stuck at “Pending at SS”
I wanted to share another update regarding my EPFO delinking issue because this process is becoming extremely frustrating and there is almost no transparency in the system.
My delinking request was initially stuck at “Pending at DA” for many weeks. Around 2 weeks ago I visited EPFO office personally and met the compliance madam handling that section. At that time she clearly said that approval or rejection option was not available in their system.
After multiple follow ups, office visits, CPGRAMS complaints, RTIs and continuous pressure, finally after around 10 days So I again visited the office and the status changed from “Pending at DA” to “Pending at SS”.
I tried to understand what “Pending at SS” means. They informed me it means Pending at the Section Supervisor.
Now again the same story started.
The same madam told me that approval or rejection option is still not available in section supervisor system, also he is on leave for 2 weeks.
Honestly this is becoming difficult to understand.
EPFO issued the new delinking circular on 13 April, but even after more than a month, field offices still seem confused about approvals/Rejection, system access and workflow.
There is:
No proper tracking system
No estimated timeline
No notification when request moves internally
No way for member to know who currently has the request
No option for member to cancel or re-initiate request
We literally have to repeatedly visit office physically just to ask where the file is stuck.
Even when I requested them to reply officially on mail that the delay is due to internal system issue, nobody was ready to give written confirmation.
The most frustrating part is that this issue is affecting employment opportunities and people are expected to keep taking leave from work and repeatedly visit offices without any clarity.
If anyone else is facing “Pending at DA” or “Pending at SS” status in EPFO delinking, please share your experience or timeline.
