Allergic reaction linked to gastritis. Anyone else?

When my gastritis was at its worst, I had an allergic reaction.

I broke out in hives, my throat hurt, and I was full of mucus.

I went to the emergency room and they gave me an Urbason shot. They also told me to take corticosteroids and antibiotics, since allergies tend to flare up again over the following days.

Surprisingly, the medication also eased my gastritis a bit.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

Has anyone tried silica gel to soothe the stomach?

Hi. While looking for products that could help me with gastritis without contributing to SIBO, I came across a pharmaceutical product that consists of silica gel.

It states that it is recommended for gastrointestinal discomfort.

I'd like to know if anyone has tried it. My concern is that it could affect stomach acid, promote SIBO, or affect nutrient absorption.

How to take protein without upsetting your stomach?

I need to increase my protein intake. I've tried free-form amino acids and pea protein powder, but they irritate my stomach. Any suggestions?

I need advice on how to increase stomach acid.

During my gastroscopy, I was diagnosed with gastritis and prescribed antacids, but I noticed they drastically worsened my health. So I decided to stop taking them for a while.

I had a blood test (GastriPanel) that indicates I have low stomach acid.

I'm desperate. I chew my food very thoroughly, but it's not enough—I need protein.

I've tried free-form amino acids, hydrolyzed plant protein, and pancreatic enzymes. Everything irritates my stomach.

I don't know how I can increase my stomach acid without irritating it even more.

Could it be gastroparesis?

Hi. I've been ill for years—really, my whole life, though with varying intensity.

When I was little, I ate very little because I felt extremely full after eating small amounts of food.

As an adult, I had to deal with unexplained deficiencies, such as tryptophan deficiency.

Currently, some symptoms persist: extreme fatigue, weight loss and difficulty gaining weight, cold hands. But others have changed—I no longer feel full, although my health worsens after heavy meals, I have B9 and iron deficiencies, antacids make the problem worse, and chewing my food thoroughly seems to help.

Doctors say I'm crazy and that's about it. Based on the tests I've had, the only thing left is motility issues.

I'm also convinced there's a genetic factor and that other people in my family are affected.

How's it going with cocoa butter/pork lard and cassava?

Hi, I'm looking for sources of fat and carbohydrates. My diet is very restricted: no gluten, no lactose, potatoes and rice don't agree with me, pistachios and coconut also cause me problems.

I'm taking MCT coconut oil, but I need more energy sources.

What diagnostic method for MCAS?

What diagnostic method: laboratory tests and other methods did your doctors use to diagnose MCAS?

I have read that tryptase is a good indicator, but also that it is volatile, and it is not available in all laboratories.

A while ago I had to reintroduce gluten to have a diagnostic gastroscopy. Not much time has passed yet, but each week I go without gluten, there's one predominant symptom: one week it was deep sadness, the next week the sadness faded and my dermatitis problems got worse, this week I'm starting to get acne again, but my dermatitis is better...

Has anyone else experienced something similar?"

Besides having gastritis, I'm also celiac. I recently had to reintroduce gluten for a gastroscopy diagnosis, and oh my god... It caused me so much damage.

I'm lacking protein and don't know what to do. I take free-form amino acid powder, but it increases my inflammation and gastritis symptoms.

How can I get my body to absorb protein?
