hi! i’m 17 and have been an aspiring tattoo artist for a few years now and recently got a potential offer (for when i turn 18) for an apprenticeship at a very reputable shop near me, probably the most known in my area. the only issue is they say it’s going to cost me $2000. based on what i’ve seen online this is uncommon, so i was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if it’s worth it. i’ve been dreaming of an opportunity like this since i was a kid so i really want to do it but don’t wanna get screwed over. got this opportunity since my stepmom knows the shop owner and she’s seen my art, but i dont have a portfolio yet (working on it now), so it’s not like i couldn’t get an offer elsewhere but i know these things dont happen often so

guys i am just as upset and desperate as everyone else in here but pleaseeeee don’t buy from anyone online rn. ticketmaster has not configured the official resale page and transfers are off, meaning the ONLY way to resale rn is literally giving someone your account or meeting at the venue. if someone says they can transfer they are lying. don’t get scammed!!!! we will make it to the show somehow trust and believe

what the title says. woke up this morning vomiting and called my store to use my sick time and was told by an ssv that if i don’t have a fever and am just vomiting it doesn’t qualify as a call out? they said they’d text my gm and check but gm has not responded. just confused because i have protected sick time to cover my shift and everything i read says vomiting is a reason to call out but my store says otherwise apparently? just wondering if this is an actual thing or not

i started working at starbucks in august, and honestly loved my job for the first few months. we’ve always been really well staffed and our team is very tight knit, so it was good enough for me to ignore everything wrong with this company. well, since we lost 4 coworkers last month, everything has begun to go downhill fast. we got those coworkers replaced really fast, but we keep getting busier and they refuse to staff us even though we have people begging for hours. i’m literally working a 3 right now on father’s day and nobody can get their breaks and we are all so stressed trying to get everything done while we are SLAMMED. this is an everyday thing now and the stress is really starting to have an impact on me. also, since we are constantly understaffed now our customer complaint rating has gone up which ofc the dm blames the baristas for so we keep getting hours cut because of the rating, but since our hours are cut we can’t provide good customer service. meanwhile we’re getting yelled at constantly and privileges revoked while we are all working our asses off. it’s just never enough for this company i swear. i’m so burnt out
