I just ruined something precious to me by accident and I hate myself

Sometimes I just really don’t understand how I can be so stupid and useless. I didn’t understand that putting my old Japanese PASMO card on my phone wallet would render the physical one unusable. I ruined it. I killed it. I can’t even fucking believe it. It’s been with me for 10 years and has all the records of my past commute lines and I can never use it again. I HATE the digital one and will never touch it. I don’t even know what to do. I’ll have to buy a new physical one but even that feels wrong and I have no clue where I can do that anymore because it’s been so long. And I know it’s stupid because it’s just a plastic card but I am having the most aggressive meltdown and would honestly love to cancel my entire trip back at this point. I don’t even know a way to try to make it feel less awful.

Tips for sourcing specific models in Tokyo?

I’m going to Tokyo in a couple months and desperately want to get my hands on either the E-SRK-II 咲人 signature (preferably black) or the E-HOMR-II 柩 model (preferably red).

It looks like BigBoss and ESP Crafthouse still have them listed (albeit in different colorways), but as special order items…. Not sure if it would be possible to order in advance and pick up, or if there’s specific stores where I might have luck finding these models in my preferred colorways secondhand.

These are my dream guitars so appreciate any advice!!

Protecting a little fledgling

What is recommended to help a fledgling in an unsafe area? I live right on a super busy main street and there’s lots of stray cats in the area. It’s been really stormy and with the 4th coming up I’m so worried for him.

We have a white-tipped dove baby in our yard. The local bird center said they can’t help us because he’s invasive, and today he was following me around the yard trying to climb into my pant leg. His mama is in a nest in the nearby tree way out of reach, so he’s being taken care of….. but he’s going to get killed on the ground, and I can’t let that happen.

I scooped him up into a box for the time being and taped it up in his nest tree. I just don’t know if what I’m doing is right, though. Is it okay for the time being? I just really want him off the ground at night when the cats are around, but I don’t want to hurt his progress learning to fly.

Help me help the little peeper, please!

Does anyone have a special interest in birds?

Specifically pigeons - I found a little baby on the ground that seems to be hugging the cusp of nestling and fledgling and I would love for someone to info dump some tips at me.

Little guy latched onto me and was following me everywhere trying to climb onto my shoe and into my pant leg 🥲 I was worried about the stray cats nearby so I scooped him into a makeshift nest (box with tissue) and taped it up into a tree near where his mama was waiting, but now I’m worried about whether that was the right move.

Do you remember your childhood well?

Not really sure what to tag. I saw a post today about forgetting as a coping mechanism, and it got me thinking. I always thought I didn’t have much general trauma from the undiagnosed autistic experience, but now I’m not so sure.

I have a great memory for things when I need to - work things that will hurt me if I forget, or things that I love like my special interests. I always thought things had been fine for me until I started trying to remember specifics of my childhood and just….. couldn’t. It was like massive gaps, with only a few moments sticking out bright and clear in a sea of fog. It feels like entire years are indistinguishable.

It was kind of a shocking realization. I don’t know if maybe my memory is less stellar than I thought as I get older, or if that is a reflection of some kind of trauma that I never realized was there.

Does anyone else experience this? Especially for those 30 and older, can you remember your childhood pretty clearly, or is it also murky?

HELP will lavender soap kill a flytrap??

One of my traps was looking a little wilty and I noticed some white fuzz. I was worried about pests, so I sprayed what I thought was a bottle of diluted alcohol…. It was lavender soap.

Did I just kill my trap? What do I do to clean it? I’m freaking the hell out worried I’ve just ruined things

Loop earplugs - which level?

For those of you that like Loop earplugs, which level of noise reduction do you use? I’m looking for ones that will take the edge off of overwhelming ambient noise - think loud music in a restaurant when you’re trying to talk at your table, or out shopping in a crowded store. I already wear headphones a lot in public, but sometimes I’m too overstimulated for music and just want things a little quieter.

Also side question for Loop users - can you layer them with over ear headphones to cut down on noise but still hear music?
