Staying in Osaka for a few days next month. We were wondering is it worthwhile doing a day trip to Kobe? We want to have a Kobe beef meal but can you just get that meal in Osaka or Kyoto without the need to travel to Kobe. Is there really anything else extra special in Kobe that is a must see.

Doing my final year project in engineering and there is never sufficient staff around to help. We need to book equipment but when it comes to setting it up and doing the tests there is no one around. The technical staff just appear to fill a void and not do their jobsss - a very few go out of their way to support the rest are miserable always and away from work or having coffees. There is one workshop person she is never working always coffee or talking or away. And i hear some are going to be made redundant as they are having a workforce review. Well some need to actually work first and help us students.
Will be landing at Fukuoka airport and would like to exchange Australian dollars to local currency (yen). Airport exchange rates are not always good - is there any currency exchange in the Hakata area we can use. Happy for any other suggestions to exchange the cash
Went to a theatre show at the regal and I overheard a couple beside us saying they got cheap tickets thru an app/website for the show. They were like paying $10 per ticket when I paid $69. Anybody got any hot tips on what the sites may be ( I was too embarrassed to ask them but I probably should have).
We like going to live shows but we are limited as they are expensive so we only go couple times a year as a treat.
Now I am well covered for beer choices in the 7-11 and family mart and convenience stores.
But my wife she loves wine. Is wine readily available in the convenience stores and in the smaller restaurants, izakaya’s and food stalls.
