2nd year now we've been left a small avian gift

OK - so illegal to possess since it's protected under the Migratory Birds Convention Act (MBCA). Will be disposing of in the woods.

I think a local fox is eating baby birds near our back porch. Maybe it's a safety thing, maybe it's a show thing. Last year we were left with a teeny little skull.

I'm attaching what's left this year. I think it's an American Redstart. How could I ensure this gets cleaned up nicely without breaking it all apart? It's maybe 3"-3.5"

Cheers

Used market near Ottawa?

My PAL/RPAL arrived last week - YAY!!!

Was thinking about picking up a used LR 22 bolt action rifle to get started...and save my $ for a shotgun and higher power rifle.

What are the good sites that I can search locally? Don't want to deal with mailed guns. Would want to drive to location, have a look at, etc.

Also, feel free to talk me out of this. Just figured there might be a few folks who have bought new and quickly moved on up.

Playoff Rally Towels - Huge Bummer

Maybe I’m overreacting, but it’s honestly pretty disappointing that the PWHL just quietly dropped rally towels this year after doing them last playoffs.

People will say “who cares, it’s just a towel,” but that’s not really the point. Stuff like that is part of building playoff atmosphere and traditions. Last year felt special! There were towels everywhere, crowd looked unified, fans felt part of something. This year? Nothing in the semis, nothing in the Finals, and not even an explanation.

What bugs me most is the expectation piece. The league spent hear one/two (all depending) getting people emotionally invested and setting a certain standard for the playoff experience, then suddenly scaled things back without saying anything. That’s how fans start feeling nickel-and-dimed or taken for granted.

Meanwhile the Habs are in the playoffs handing out rally towels because they understand that crowd energy and fan traditions matter. The Charge and Victoire are literally playing in the Finals and somehow the presentation feels smaller than last year.

If there’s a sponsor issue or budget issue, just communicate it! The silence is what makes it not just disappointing, but annoying.
