Thinking of buying Vivo X300, need real camera feedback (AI processing concern)

[India]

I tested the Vivo X300 FE (pre-launch unit) in a store and compared it with my friend’s S25 Ultra.

In good lighting and especially portraits, the Vivo looked really impressive with better pop and more pleasing tones. The S25 Ultra portraits felt slightly underexposed and more basic in comparison.

But in zoom tests on a distant display, the Vivo processing became too aggressive. It tried to AI enhance the image so heavily that it completely misread the text and turned it into unreadable, garbled characters, even though the original text was English.

The S25 Ultra also became blurry at that zoom, but it didn’t alter or hallucinate details.

Even in closer shots like shoes, the Vivo over sharpened textures like mesh to a point where it looked artificial rather than natural.

My main concern is I prefer natural processing, not heavy AI enhancement that changes real details.

I understand the FE is a different variant, but I’m asking Vivo X300 users whether this kind of processing is consistent in real world use or just a demo unit issue.

Lost my S24 Ultra… now stuck between Samsung, iPhone and vivo flagships

[India]

Hello Everyone!

So yeah… I lost my S24 Ultra.

Pain.

Now I need a replacement but I genuinely do NOT want to spend Ultra level money again unless it’s absolutely worth it.

I’m an artist and I record a lot of reels and process clips for social media, so camera and video quality matter a LOT to me. I also tend to keep my phones for 3 to 4 years instead of upgrading every year.

Budget is ideally around 80k but I can stretch close to 1 lakh if needed.

My Requirements (Not in Order):

512GB storage (absolute dealbreaker)

Great video quality

Stable video recording for reels and process shots

Accurate colors for paints/art materials

Reliable stabilization

Consistent UI/UX experience for 3 to 4 years

No heavy gaming

Camera/video quality should not feel like a downgrade from S24 Ultra

Currently considering: S25/S25+ iPhone 16 series vivo X300 series Oppo Find X9 series

But I’m fully open to other suggestions too if you think there’s a better option for my use case.

The vivo X300 series honestly looks incredible right now and the camera hardware is making this decision MUCH harder than expected.

At the same time, Samsung still feels familiar and iPhone still seems unbeatable for consistent video.

So now I’m stuck between: best hardware vs best stability vs best familiarity but RIP wallet 😭

Would especially love opinions from long term vivo users or people who switched from Samsung/iPhone.

How has the experience been?

The Oppo Find X9 series especially has me tempted because the camera hardware looks genuinely crazy.

But I still keep wondering whether Samsung/iPhone are simply safer long term choices overall when it comes to reliability and consistency.

How has the long term experience actually been?

Need help! How's the video quality?

[india]

Wanted to ask users of the Vivo X300, X300 FE and X200T about the video quality on these phones. How do they compare to Samsung and Apple flagships in real world usage? I’m mainly concerned about quality and consistency in different lighting conditions, especially outdoor lighting, changing light, skin tones, stabilization and overall video output for social media.

I’m an artist and I record process videos and other content regularly, so video matters slightly more to me than photos. Would love honest feedback from people who’ve actually used these phones for a while, including any day to day gripes or annoying issues you’ve noticed over time.

Slight context: I recently lost my S24 Ultra, so I’m looking for a good camera phone that’s comparable, if not better in some areas, without spending Ultra level money again.

Help me choose a 512GB camera/video phone (best value options, S25 vs iPhone 16 vs Vivo X300 vs Oppo Find X9)

[india] Need suggestions for a reliable camera/video phone (512GB compulsory)

Recently lost my S24 Ultra so now looking for a replacement. Trying to avoid Ultra-level pricing again if there’s a solid option that makes more sense value-wise.

My priorities are:

Great camera

Great video quality (video slightly more important than photos)

512GB storage (non-negotiable)

Reliable long term performance

Good software experience over years

Usage is pretty normal overall. No gaming or heavy stuff. Just need something that stays smooth and reliable for years without slowing down or getting messy after updates.

Currently considering:

S25

iPhone 16

Vivo X300 series

Oppo Find X9 series

I’ve seen a lot of praise for Vivo X series cameras lately, but I’m still unsure about:

real-world video consistency

low light performance stability

long term software reliability

Same doubts with Oppo as well, especially the slightly processed / “too polished” look some flagships tend to have.

Not really an iPhone fan, but open to it if it genuinely ends up being the most reliable option for video + long term smoothness.

My ideal pick would’ve been the S25+ but I couldn’t find a 512GB variant.

Looking mainly for something that gives the best overall value without compromising too much on camera/video quality or long term reliability. Open to suggestions beyond this list too.

If nothing really makes sense, I’ll probably just end up stretching and going for the S25 Ultra again.
