I'm 27 and never played pokemon before but i like this game. I wish there was some kind of beginner mode to learn the types, weaknesses and strenghts, in detail, so i could learn how to play.

I tried with some charts online but i find them really hard to understand and its difficult to read them while i play. Also i already thought about playing older games so i could slowly learn but idk i think it would be far too much time spending.

Personal thought on the blind hate towards the product, and not who's directly responsible.

Before saying "ain't reading allat" consider taking five minutes and read this, i dont wanna be that guy who knows better, but i see a lot of people hating the game cause they think that it is the reason why destiny 3 doesnt exist, but thats not true.

Videogames are one of my passions so i tend to get passionate and write a lot when talking about it so i'll excuse myselfe in advance cause this is gonna be a long wall of text.

So i see that people get so emotional that they dont even remotely consider what happened all around the game.

That guy selling the company for that absurd price, and sony accepting and expecting to profit from that.

Not even GTA6 made that much money with the preorders, thats obviously a stretch, GTA6 will make way more but thats not the topic.

What im saying is that even if they wouldve choose to develop Destiny 3 instead of Marathon, it wouldnt change anything, and you (the haters) wouldve been even more mad and unsatisfied about it, since it wouldve directly affect the game you love.

Marathon IS a good game, doesnt matter all the hate and everything people say about it, its a good and fun game, but its an extraction, and even i, a player who loves extraction shooters like this, know that making a game like this expecting to profit over 3.6 billions, is pure delusion.

Game's budget itself is not that high if you consider 10 years of developement + 5ish (i dont remember exactly) seasons of premade content and ongoing content in developement, content that haters seems to not know anything about yet still talk shit about.

Also its been affected by said hate from countless people and content creators, beside the genre itself, genre that attracts not that many players.

What everybody seems not to understand is that a game like this needs a "recycle" of players, generally a player dont grind everyday on an extraction shooter, cause that's just not the game focus. You have a few players that stays all the time, but the majority leaves and come back after a couple weeks or even months.

And marathon has no recycle, because of the game ofc, but also because of the hate and lies that people tells about it.

Not gonna go into psychology, so just know that talking about something that way, affects potential player, beside the chance that someone just dont like the look or the genre or anything about it.

But i know a lot of ppl that would love Marathon, yet they wont buy it either because they dont trust Sony (ball knowers) or because they heard online that the game is trash, full of problems, lack of content. Its sad cause half of it are straight up lies.

So here we are now, because of the acts of literally 2 men, you lost your favorite game, and i and many more will eventually lose this one, not my favorite but surely a fun game that i would love to know i can come back in months without any problems, we all know that its unlikely to be the case.

Its not the game tho, its the money, and if you're really mad about what happened to Bungie and Destiny, you should address the right responsible of all this mess, leaving the product a chance to be enjoyed by whoever come across one of your takes, and trashing the image of Pete "the thief" Parson and Jim "the dog" Ryan.

Wow.. this is actually sad

This is sad, depressing and weird at the same time.

I get the hate now, after 100 -ish hrs, after i played the entire season 1 and the start of season 2, so basically a month. And after all this time you guys are still here hating on someone else because they're having fun on something you don't enjoy.

Not only you spend your time hating on a game that you don't play, you also created a subreddit so you can dedicate even more time to it.

I gotta tell you, cause idk if anyone realizes at this point, that this behaviour is not gonna help Destiny or Bungie, but its enough to create discomfort to Sony, and while this could be pleasing to you, it leaves Bungie in a very dangerous position.

Its not their fault if they've been selled to Sony by that guy i don't even know his name, but it's his fault and Sony's if D3 wont be a thing.

Also i don't get why you think its Marathon's fault by any meaning, Marathon its a different and separate IP, nothing to do with anything, you can dislike it or even hate it, but you got to understand its not their fault for whatever happens to D3 or any other project you would've prefer instead of it.

So yeah player count is low, but more than enough for it to be enjoyable, and anyways more than enough for an extraction shooter.

In the end yes i found out this sub and thought it is a bit sad, you guys do whatever with your time but realize its better for everyone if you spend it on something that you actually like instead of wasting it like me creating a post just to try get someone unstuck from this infinite hating loop.

If you want D3 play D2, its the best we can do for it, hating on Marathon is pointless.

Atp complaint about their money management outside games, cause that's what's impacting the most on games. Bungie being selled at an astronomical price, and Sony closing i don't even know how many project after dumping milions on them.

Out of every one of those project Marathon is the best one in a while, that's because its Bungie's work, fine work.

I wrote even more than i wanted sorry for the essay
