I used to be on the injectable but eventually switched over to the oral pill because it was cheaper when I couldn’t get Wegovy covered. But since I’ve been seeing little results while paying $300 a month for the 9mg pill, I wanted to look back into how much the pen would be. I’ve been getting the pill through Costco.
When my insurance stopped covering, I got a costco membership to start using the wegovy pill for $150. Now that I’m on 9mg, the price has gone up to $300 a month. Is there anywhere I can find a better price? The medication is helping a lot with my cravings and regulating my hormones with my other conditions, but the weight loss results have been minimal enough where it is hard to justify $300 a month.
are there any nail salons in the area that aren’t ridiculously overpriced that people can recommend? I have an event in a few weeks and would love to get my nails done but without my nails costing more than my dress hahaha
I started off my glp1 journey in August 2024 with the wegovy pen. I felt like a fast responder, going from 260 pounds to 235 by the end of the year. Throughout 2025 though, I became stagnant in my weight loss. I lost and gained the same 5 pounds for months, and felt defeated. Wegovy's 1.7mg injectable pen gave me headaches, fatigue, and made me nauseous at the taste of protein powder and the smell of my hand soap. Because of becoming stagnant, I went to my doctor in July 2025 and switched to Zepbound, hoping for better results. Instead, I continued to stay stagnant, if not gaining a little weight, ending the year at around 246ish pounds. I also had an allergic reaction to the injection site for Zepbound, which left me itching throughout the week until I had to inject again, keeping me stuck at the second lowest dose. I switched off of Zepbound, and decided to try the Wegovy pill a few months into 2026. I've had virtually no side effects which is great, and love that I don't need to inject myself. The medication takes longer to build up in my opinion because it is given in small daily doses, but I have felt my food noise go away. It is great, however, in the few months I was off of the medication and then the months it took for it to build up in me again, my food noise, PCOS, and autoimmune + liver diseases were left unchecked and I managed to get myself back up to 260 pounds now. It's devastating, feeling like I'm right back where I started, and I wanted to ask to see what other people thought. Has anyone had great success with the pill? I prefer the pill over the injection, and love the suppression of food noise, but the lack of results is making me wonder if the cost of the medicine is worth it, and if I should just try switching back to the injection, despite feeling like crap for the first 1-3 days after taking the medicine, just to lose, what, 20 pounds?
I would appreciate all of the feedback I can get here. I know the pill is working to some extent because of the food noise and my PCOS becoming more regulated, but the weight loss aspect has me defeated.
