I go to a lot of summer cookouts, and am the designated deviled egg provider. I have a double-decker egg carrier that works great when held, but when I put it in my rolling cooler cart, the angle makes the eggs slide and it’s a mess. Surely there is some way to DIY a solution to this? Thank you!!!

Definitely in the vein of Beverly Cleary ... the protagonist is skinny (father affectionately calls her beanpole) while her mother (and sister?) tend to plump. There's a vivid scene where protagonist is putting a pat of butter on each square of her waffle. She makes friends with a girl who is a recent Eastern European immigrant. Anyone? Thanks!
