Visiting

Hi! I’m visiting the US for a couple of weeks and I’m staying in New York for a couple of days- from the 27th to the 30th and I’d like to know what’s cool, and stuff a true local would do. I’ve been to all the cookie cutter touristy stuff like the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and the Empire State, so something fresh would be cool.

I like:
-Engineering marvels
-Motorsport heritage (cool cars and the like)
-Aviation
-Firearms and military history
-Christian history
-Hidden restaurants locals defend with their lives
-Photographing places before tourists arrive
-Speaking with interesting people

I’d also like to know what I should watch out for, stuff like scams, or places and neighbourhoods to avoid.

Many thanks!

CS2 Team

Hi,

I’m looking for a CS2 team to join to grind Comp, Premiere and Faceit. I don’t play Competitive to often because soloQ is SHIT! But I love learning, I have Leetify Pro so I can host practice and retake servers to learn smokes and execs on different maps. I don’t have a rank but I say I’m Gold Nova Master (was on CSGO).

WTT Portrait of a Lady 15th Anniversary Edition (only sprayed twice)

Hey everyone!

I’d like to trade my bottle of Frederic Malle’s Portrait of a Lady. It was a blind buy and unfortunately it’s not my scent after reading up about it for a good week before pulling the trigger (it’s definitely a mature scent). It’s super strong, it’s nice but not for me. It’s quite intense and is definitely an attention grabber at night. Top notes are Rose, Clove, Black Currant, Cinnamon, Raspberry and Red Berries; middle notes are Turkish Rose, Incense, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang; base notes are Incense, Amber, Ambergris, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar and Vanilla.

Looking to trade for about 1100AED (worth 1500 AED). I’m open to something fresh/clean; designer or niche is fine by me- do send your offers.
Following is a list of preferred perfumes:
Hibiscus Mahajad
LV Cactus Garden
LV California Dream
Angel’s Share
Hugo Boss Bottled Pacific

I have receipts for the perfume as well that I can send.

Here’s my rig after saving up for it for about 3 years

Long time lurker! I think I’ve posted once or twice asking for advice.

I’ve never been great at saving money, but I always loved simracing, and I’ve been working in motorsports for about 4 years (ever since I started uni), and I’ve built simulators for some very interesting people, and during my industrial year, my workplace had a high end sim that I’d spend my lunch break at for essentially a year.

My first sim was a G920 that I was never serious with for some reason, and I ended up selling it for about $75.

Made a bunch of stupid purchases with my money and lost a fair bit as well. Anyway, I was having a chat with a mate who said he knew a place selling simulators for cheap, and that piqued my interest. Prices were fairly decent:

Simucube 2 Sport - ~$900
GT Pro V2 - ~$540
Heusinkveld Sprint 3 Pedals with baseplate - ~$460

(These were used lightly but the place made me test everything before buying it)

Cockpit and monitor frame was a deal from a friend from 6 months back that I purchased just in case I ever found a deal, and it sort of worked out (even if it’s not the best option for the SC2) for about $400 (NLR GTTrack with triple free standing monitors stands)

The PC is my uni laptop, it’s sort of on it’s last legs but it’s not bad- i7 12th gen, 16GB RAM, 4070 Laptop so it does the job.

Please ignore the monitor for now, it’s a stand-in for an old TV I’m getting for free. XD

I’m super stoked, I’ve been doing Assetto, rF2, KartKraft and I’m going to renew my old iRacing subscription.

Open to advice on getting a bit more serious, tips from everyone’s journey, other titles to explore (I am saving up for LMU) and suggestions too!
