I'll throw this out there.
How is it that ESPN can broadcast the Little League World Series with a very good to excellent picture quality.
But tonights major league game, from Yankee Stadium, looks like a broadcast from 10 years ago? Flat, no detail, shaky picture, just a real messy production.
I don't get it. I know ESPN can do better than this.
So I purchased the upgraded to 4k Talladega Nights movie, on Apple Itunes today in Dolby Vision. It's on Sony and is a MA title.
The movie did transfer over from Apple to MA, and the MA metadata does show 4k 5.1.
But right underneath that, it says this title currently does not support 4k. I'm not sure why.
Apple is Dolby Vision..Fandango is HDR10 and MA is HD.
I also went into MA settings and disconnected and reconnected Apple as a retailer. No changes.
Any thoughts why this might be?
What are the chances the Super Bowl will be in 4K?
So I just received the QM7L 65" the other day. We all know it's running Android 14, and I'm on the most current TCL software version. And while YTTV runs, along with the other apps, they are all clunky and a bit slow. I deleted and reinstalled YTTV..no difference. Now I also have a Apple TV 4k 3rd generation and everything runs smoothly. And previous tv was a Sony Bravia X90j, so also a Android TV but running Android 12..and all the apps including YTTV ran smoothly too.
Anyone else notice this on their TCLS..any improvement suggestions?

So I received the QM7L, and have it connected to a Sonos Beam 2. Previously I was able to get Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 or 5.1. But so far on the TCL I cannot get that connection. I get Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0 or 5.1.
My settings are..Audio Ouput..HDMI eARC
Digital Audio Out..Auto
I see nothing for DDPLUS
And I don't see any other audio settings for external speakers.
So was playing AM tonight via Airplay 2 to my Cambridge Audio EVO 75. It should normally show up as 16/44 AAC.
But tonight, using both a iPhone 17 running the most current IOS version and an older IPad Air running older software and after rebooting both devices a couple of times and just changing albums and tracks..it all showed ALAC on the Apple devices. However my Cambridge was still showing AAC..BUT the other night, the Cambridge kept bouncing back from AAC to ALAC.
So anyone else notice this? Is it just me? Any explanations?
So yesterday on my Sony Bravia TV there was a YTTV app update, which was unusual, since Google does most updates on their server side. I also have a Apple TV 4k 3rd generation, which did not show any app updates.
Today, after reading some other user comments about this update, I decided to check my YTTV settings. Good thing I did.
Where YTTV did their PQ enhancement a few years ago, everything was locked in and changed accordingly to either 1080p or 720p Enchanced, set on the " Auto" settings in the sub- menu.
Today when I checked on both the Google and Apple sides of YTTV everything was Auto 720p. Even channels that are 1080p Enchanced. So I took the PQ Auto setting and changed to HD for correct 10&0p or 720p Enchanced. Make sure you check this and make sure YTTV changes PQ to the correct setting for each channel.
