Seafood restaurants in the North West (or further if worth it).

Recently started eating more seafood but haven't had the chance to try anywhere that really specialises in it. Are there any highly recommended/rated seafood restaurants nearby? Willing to travel anywhere near the NW aside from Manchester city centre.

Would this be a suitable starter kit?

Hi all, I've been wanting to get into fishing for a long time but since I have no friends who fish I have held off out of lack of knowledge and worry about embarrassing myself by trying to get started.

I think I am ready to give it a go and I've been looking at where to begin. A "starter" kit was recommended (admittedly I only started looking this morning) and I've found this pack.

It seems like a lot for your money (almost too good to be true?) so I wanted to see what you guys thought? Would this be a good starting point?

Argos/NewDay credit reporting and dead end.

I'm having issues with an entry on my credit file. I noticed (via Experian) that there was incorrect information relating to an old Argos card (missed payments that weren't actually missed). I had the paid Experian membership and raised a dispute which received the following response:

"Thank you for your patience while we awaited a response to the data dispute raised on your behalf with Home Retail Group Card Services

This is an update to confirm their response and outline the actions we are taking as a result:

Home Retail Group Card Services has requested that Experian delete the entry from our records." which was promptly done.

I contacted Home Retail Group Card Services which is now "NewDay" in order to have this removed from other agencies (I can see it via my banks credit report which uses TransUnion) and they have responded saying "We do not have any details for you on our system as the account may have been closed before the transfer to NewDay.", I replied back stating that they must have some form of information as they responded to Experian, to which they replied saying "Home Retail Group falls under Argos Store Cards. New Day has recently taken over these accounts under Argos Pay, but we cannot locate any thing on our system under your details.".

I tried asking Experian who they contacted but they aren't allowed to share the information. Is my option to raise separate disputes with all other credit agencies? How can they not have my information when they have in fact spoken to Experian about it?

Incorrect Info on Credit File and next steps.

Hi all, just looking for some advice.

I recently raised a dispute with a creditor via Experian. Long story short it was an account that shouldn't be on there. Experian got a response quickly and sent me the following:

"Home Retail Group Card Services has requested that Experian delete the entry from our records."

The following day it was indeed gone however it still appears on my Lloyds credit report which uses TransUnion and I also see it when I check Equifax.

My question is, why aren't Home Retail Group removing it from those too? Do I need to raise two further disputes via the other agencies?

To clarify, I did have an account with Home Retail it was just closed (over six years ago), this is what needed updating and subsequently removing.

Trying to get a virtual card but getting a generic error.

Hi all,

When I click "request virtual card" I get the following error.

"We’re having trouble making sure it’s you"

I am not using any VPNs or adblock extensions. I have also completely wiped my browser history and tried Incognito. Same if I try requesting one via the application.

Is this a known bug or is there a way around it?

Do you submit to Operation Snap?

If so, do you submit everything or just what you consider serious/dangerous?

Edit: seems that a lot of users have had bad experiences so I'll add mine. I have only done it once to submit a red light runner and got an email to say that action would be taken (didn't specify what action though).
