i genuinely think s27 is the best svu season in years.

sorry if this has been talked about before, but since the latest season just came out on hulu, i've checked out around five of the episodes and they're all genuinely better than i've seen from svu in years.

the cases are solid, the storylines aren't all about liv, rollins is back and in a good place, and i actually love the addition of griffin as a character.

this might sound shallow, but i've been so sick of the revolving door of polite, professional, middle aged detectives coming in and out of svu. i'm sorry, they're boring! and most of them were only there to pad the runtime or support liv in some way.

corey cott being a young, attractive guy, having loads of talent and name recognition from broadway, and actually being given interesting plotlines to work with-- makes me so hopeful for the future of svu.

who do you think your favorite ud2 characters will be?

i think mina and reagan are going to be my favorites. i also think cameron (yellow shirt guy) will be up there.

(and owen, the host, seems like a good contender for least favorite imo.)

what are you guys' thoughts? anyone stand out to you?

anyone recognize this phoenix artist?

i lived in mesa for a year and got this art piece at a pheonix art market! i’d love to find the artist online and buy some more of her work, but the only thing i have to go on is the first name meghan.

anyone recognize or know the artist?

recs to find alt/nerdy friends here?

i just loved to pcb a few months ago and i love the ocean, writing in coffee shops, walking around downtown in my panama city, etc. but i’m not too sure where to find my people.

i moved from arizona where there was a big alternative scene, lots of concerts and comic book shops and things like that. now i’m here and the vibes are a lot different.

is there a place (irl or online) you’d recommend to join a dnd campaign, book clubs, concerts, fandom-y places, anything like that?

i keep starting over my way into loneliness.

i'm currently 25 and i've dealt with social anxiety my entire life. making friends always felt like a fluke or something i lucked my way into. i had a big friend group in high school, but i always felt out of place. i'm sure a lot of it was how insecure i was back then, but it always felt like i needed the group more than they needed me.

i purposefully went away for college for a fresh start, hoping to get away from being the shy kid, but my social anxiety followed me (duh) and i only made friends sporadically. i made a couple close friends but felt like i was an interloper. again, that feeling of being with people, but not being like them.

after college, i went to arizona with a friend and mostly hung out with her, only making one other friend in the entire state (lmao). realized i wasn't happy, and now i'm in florida, where with my family gone for the summer, i only know one other person.

every time, i think i'll make myself a fresh new start where i can get away from who i used to be. every time, i'm exactly who i've always been, while my actual connections to my past just keep fading. i only talk to a few of my old friends. i don't date. i still haven't found my people.

i don't want to have peaked in high school-- i wasn't popular enough for that!-- but that's the last time i felt like i had enough connections with others to feel almost fulfilled. i want to find that again, but i don't know how. i'm always nostalgic and restless and lonely. i don't know how to fix it.
