Blanket border ideas? I have a white I was going to use but unsure stitch!
Any ideas for a cute border stitch please? I was thinking of just using white (I don't have enough of the variegated yarn left). Or should I leave it as is?

These are the seller's photos. She says she has all the original accessories except her hat. She wants about $100 less than the new 40th Anniversary one.
What would you guys do?
Thanks!
I am looking to purchase some historically accurate colonial doll clothes for my daughter's American Girl doll and someone is offered this.
Before I buy it could someone please let me know what they think and is possible what decade(s) it relates to?
Thanks!
ETA: thanks so much everyone! Decided to pass but I've been looking through all the wonderful resources for more guidance. I'd love 1770s and another 1780s (I've learned there were quite a few changes then) :)
I've wanted Rebecca for a long time and I've read all her books. Her story is very similar to my family's. Also got her original purple Hanukkah outfit with her. I'm so in love!
She may unfortunately have to stay hidden in a box for now to keep my toddler from playing with her (also my husband is terrified of dolls) but I'm hoping he'll come around.
Just wanted to share my excitement because no one in my real life gets it. :D
Not my image but considering limited budget and space which would you pick and why?
I also kind of think whichever one could easily get away with wearing the other's outfits but would love to hear other's opinions and which collection you like better.
The King of France sponsored voyages of approximately 700 ladies mostly between ages 16 and 30 but there were some older and younger. They left from Paris, Normandy and other areas to become brides in New France (Quebec City, Montreal and Trois Rivieres).
I went through and alphabetically added their names together. Hope others find it interesting too!

Hi everyone! I'm new to AG and currently have Kit, Saige and Makena (who I am currently planning to make into a historical loyalist doll from 1782 but that may change).
I have the budget for 1 new AG doll and can't decide who to get ans/or if I'd save any money getting used instead.
I've always loved the revolutionary period and was going to get Felicity but the fact that the Rose meet dress isn't aligned anymore drives me crazy. I'm wondering if I should consider just buy an older full meet outfit (I do really want the petticoat, stockings, shoes etc.) and put them on Saige if they would look similar enough and/or be cheaper than a new Felicity.
I also love Samantha and Rebecca's stories but much prefer Rebecca's original red meet outfit to the current one (so again thinking a used doll may be better). And that leaves Samantha which I could buy new but there are lots in the wild so maybe I may get lucky one day and get her at a reasonable price?
Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm being very indecisive. Thanks!
Okay so I happened to find meet shirt Isabelle for cheap at a Once Upon A Child a few weeks ago and was going to keep her hidden until Christmas to give to my daughter but then yesterday my mom surprised me saying she found a new AG doll at a thrift store for me for $15. And what do you know it was naked Isabelle!
So now I've got a duplicate and while I could sell one, I was hoping someone here may have a more fun creative idea. Naked Isabelle has a small gauge on her nose but thinner and softer hair than meet Isabelle.
Thanks!
I'm going to open the package with my 3 year old when she's home from daycare but I'm in love!
Also as a Canadian I had to reorder them on amazon and cancel my order from May which never shipped.
Not sure what I'll do with him yet after I clean him up but he's so cute!
I like making up historical characters with my own dolls. Or I may give him to my daughter (she has 2 girls already) or may keep him to give to my son one day (he's only 10 months old).
Do boys typically like dolls? Would it be worth tucking him away for a few years?
How hard do you think it would be to find Rebecca's original red and Marie-Grace's meet outifts?

Also I'm really interested in Rebecca. I had the idea of selling Marie-Grace and the blonde and maybe getting Rebecca for free that way? Or should I just hold out for one in her full outfit?

I'm in Ontario Canada so there's less of a market here.

Would love opinions and advice. I'm quite new to collecting. Thanks!
Okay so I'm just reading all the historical books now as an adult and am having so much fun! So far I've read Kaya, Felicity, Addy, Josefina, Julie and just finished Kit!

And omg Uncle Hendrick is by far the biggest asshole ever! Like comically so! Why didn't they all just tell him to leave and stop talking to him? Lol he's like a cartoon villain - I'm not sharing, it's your fault you're all poor and struggling but take care of me and my dog when I'm sick or injured? Like really? And he even has an evil animal sidekick!

Sorry this may be old news but he is seriously the silliest "bad guy"! Just had to share.
ETA: As pointed out many people do have or had a similar crazy relative whose mission is to make everyone else miserable. I'm Canadian and very lucky to not know anyone even remotely like this. Sorry to everyone who has their very own Uncle Hendrick and may they stay very far away!
Hi everyone! Was involved in a minor accident yesterday and so it looks like we have to replace both carseats.
We have a 3yo approx 30 pounds and 90 cm and a 10 month old approx 20 pounds.
Thinking of buying 2 Britax Poplars (not sure if the S or regular is better) for our Mazda CX9. Also been reading good things about the Graco Extend2Fit. Or any other recommendations?
Also we have a Mazda CX9. If we end up having a 3rd child would any work in the 3rd row?
Thanks!
Some yellowing which they highlighted for $74 shipped. I don't even own Felicity or her clothes yet but I'm very interested in learning to sew, especially historical clothing but so far I've only made a basic bag and pajama pants.
Think this is a good deal or should I wait for a better set?
Thanks!
I know it's a silly question.
I don't have her meet outfit either so I'm not upset having her boots, but is it worth driving 30 minutes just to switch and get the sandals (assuming the seller will do that?)
Or is it easy enough to find similar sandals later on and not worth making a fuss over? Or should I switch them now and hope someday I'll get the meet outfit with the boots.
Basically I'm being indecisive. Thoughts?
So excited and with Saige's Parade Boots! Just undecided if I keep her for myself or pass her to my daughter (she already has a #39 so they may be too similar) but I couldn't leave her behind :)
