2020 Honda CRV Touring

Hi i’m in IL and im currently looking to buy a 2020 honda crv touring certified pre owned that has about 109k miles on it. Its listed for about $20.7. I’ve tried to look at other dealerships for it to compare prices but it seems that none near me have it. I’ve only seen out of state listings. Is this a good price for the type of car?

I was also thinking I could ask for the price to be lowered at 20k but from what i’ve seen on the internet it looks like this is a good deal for the type of car?

I plan on test driving it this afternoon, please feel free to give any advice on things I should look out for.

The process of buying a car

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a good youtube video/ online forum where they explain the process of buying a car through a dealership. I’m 24F and I recently found out my car needs some very expensive repairs so it’s best to invest in another reliable one instead. The dealership scares me because of all the horrible stories i’ve heard of people getting f’d over and getting into bad deals that costs them more money than needed. I want to be informed as much as I can so I can detect if they’re trying to scam me or not, or if the car ill be buying is good (currently looking at a qualified pre owned 2020 honda crv Ex awd with 65k miles and around $23000. I got prequalified by my bank for 23k and my dad is helping me with a down payment of 5k). I have downloaded Cargurus since it tells me if the price is good or too high but even then I am so confused and it’s very overwhelming.

Thank you.

Car brands to buy

I recently got the news that my subaru forester 2004 needs an expensive fix of 4k+ due to the fact that the person who sold the car messed with the engine heads to try a patch some cooling issues. My mechanic recommended that we replace the whole engine because repairing the engine heads could lead to more problems due to the mileage (172k). In all honesty we’ve invested so much money into the car already due to other issues that came up, a couple of years back my car was randomly turning off on me while driving. It ended up being an electric issue that costed me like 2k and i ended up developing severe anxiety because of it. The car is my dads and he gave it to me to drive until I buy a new one so whenever i communicate to him the issues I have with the car he seems to just want to drop more money into it. A lot of financial tragedies have happened over the past 3 months which have led me to be completely drained of my savings and unable to actually save up for a car or anything at that. My dad offered to let me borrow money for a down payment on a car but since I don’t know much about cars i don’t know if it’s worth buying a new one or just a good reliable one. I was looking for a payment of 200-250/ month and something around 12k for a used car. At the moment I am looking to have a roomate move in so my rent could be half of what i’m paying at the moment and that way if I were to buy a full new car I could probably pay it off faster but this is just hypothetical scenarios since i’m not certain i’ll find someone anytime soon.

If I am going for a used car I would like it to have the basics, and something that gets me from point A to point B since I do work 40 min away. Does anyone have any suggestions/ advice?

Roomate finally moved out?

My toxic roomate has finally moved out I’m pretty sure? She chose to get released form the lease about a month ago and she still expected her deposit back despite being a policy from the apartments that she is not to receive her deposit due to moving out on her own terms (due to problems between us). The whole time she was in the process of moving out while not spending the time at the apartment anymore she left me with a bunch of dirty dishes and a trash bag that was leaking and smelling foul. I had posted about this the other night but she finally took out the garbage. The only downside now is that she only hid her dirty dishes in the dishwasher and didn’t actually clean them. She also used my trashcan before leaving to clean out her food from the fridge and she threw a bunch of rotten food in it and also threw away our soap dispenser although I had no intentions of getting rid of it… Not to mention she also left me with a bunch of random junk that was hers and she didn’t want to take???. She still has to send me the electric bill and I still have to “bill” her for the wifi from last month. I am planning on adding a fee for the inconvenience of the trash and the dishes. Good or bad idea? lol!

Does anyone have any dupe for this deodorant?

I love this deodorant and i got it while I was in mexico (I was not smart enough to buy in bulk to bring back). I tried looking online and somehow I’ve been unable to find it??? I have HS and this has tremendously helped with it 😭.

Thank you!!

Roommate move out

Hi, I need some advice on how to travel a situation. My roommate is in the process of moving out due to some issues we had but she has been really petty about everything lately. It all started with her doing things on purpose to inconvenience me when utilizing the kitchen. It has now been over 3-4 days and she hasn’t done her dishes (which has pans that I am also in the right to use but can’t because I do not think it’s fair for me to wash them). She also decided it was okay to have her trash bag of food disposal on top of the counter next to the stove wide open which is now starting to leak and it smells really bad. I have moved it next to my trash can several times so it’s in a better spot and not next to our food because that is gross to me and it gets moved back to the spot every single time. I just feel super disrespected because I have been nothing but patient with the process (to my knowledge) and I haven’t done anything on purpose to be an inconvenience to her since we both still have a right to utilize the apartment until she’s released.

Ps. she has not been staying at the apartment for the past few days which to me makes it more disrespectful since I am the one in the space with her junk.

Denied identification

Hi, I recently signed up to deliver doordash to pay off some credit card debt as a side hustle and I submitted my ID and pictures and I got denied for identification. Does anyone know why?
I reached out to support to review it and they said the same thing. I’m confused, has anyone gone through this?

Pets and rentals

Why do apartments charge a pet rent when kids exist. They should be charging a fucking child rent. Children do far more damage to the property (that i’ve heard of from stories/podcasts/tiktoks) compared to pets. I am so frustrated because I look for rentals and my cat is a dealbreaker to most by places I can afford (so dumb)

Rental companies are greedy fat fucks

I hate the state of the economy right now, rentals are so fucking expensive for no fucking reason. I’ve been trying to find a rental for less than $1500 and that is apparently less than the bare minimum for rent like ??? big rental companies have ruined everything by being so greedy.
