Willing to give up 4 first round picks to pay Leo Carlsson 18M. Did I miss something? Did someone tell the Flyers they are a good team and should go all in?

3 team mock trade

Maple Leafs:

Toronto would hold the 1 and 2 picks in the draft to select BOTH Gavin McKenna & Ivar Stenberg. They would also land a stud 19 year old center Anton Frondell.

This move would free up even more cap soace for Toronto, allowing them to be ultra aggressive in the offseason and pursue a name like Alex Tuch, more defenseman to fill the holes there, other vets that could help out on short term high AAV deals, and maybe target a goalie like Sergei Bobrovsky. At the very least, Stenberg amd Frondell would be two more NHL ready teenagers with high end upside alongside Gavin McKenna. Toronto wouldn't have to worry about their top 6 much at all for a long time.

Sharks:

San Jose drops from 2 to 4 but still getsbtheir prospect of choice Chase Reid. Losing Eklund hurts, but with all of the young forward talent they have, he is expendable, and the addition of Lardis softens the blow. The real story for them is that alongside of Reid, they bring in Reilly and OEL to bolster their blue linen where they need the most help. I don't think thos trade costs too much for the Sharks, and it would be worth their time for the blue line upgrades. They have more than enough cap to make it work.

Blackhawks:

Chicago needs to get Bedard a supporting cast. Frondell will be great but they need some more experience, amd they dont want to wait for the #4 pick to develop when they need to start winning games now. I think Bedard would be ecstatic to see his team go and get both Knies and Eklund. They also get another former Panthers goalie to pair with Spencer Knight. Due to his injury history it wouldn't make sense to trade for Stolarz to be your 1A goalie, but i think chicago is one of the few places it would make sense for him to go, because they can absorb his contract easily with all of ths cap space they have. Overall a good move to help Chicago start winning now.

BREAKING: Keith Tkachuk comes out of retirement to join both of his sons in Florida with a 4 year contract

The surprising move will make him the second oldest player on the Panthers, only behind Brad Marchand

Free Agents I think we should take a look at + 1 trade target

Boone Jenner - due to a weak free agent class and the fact I dont think we have the assets for a trade, I dont think we have the assets to get a 2C and move Tavares to the 3rd. I think Jenner would be a quality 3C.

Arvidsson - I've always felt he is an underrated player. Think he could make an impact and come pretty cheap

Andersson/Trouba/Carlson - we just landed Raddysh, it would be incredible to land a second top right handed defenseman UFA. I'd be happy With Tanev and Carlo sharing the 3rd Pair right side. I expect MO to get traded so that wpuld leave is woth OEL and McCabe on the left, plus the recently acquired Emil Andrae, and it would be pretty easy to get a guy to filling a bottom pair role to swap around with Andrae. A D core of McCabe + Raddysh, OEL + one of these guys, Andrae/new guy + Tanev/Carlo all of a sudden looks very promising.

Potential Trade Target: Blake Coleman - look, I would love to go after a guy like Mason McTavish or even a Barzal or Hishier if made available, but it is not realistic at all given what we have to work with. We have a super weak skater prospect pool, outside of Cowan, Danford, and soon to be Gavin McKenna (!!!) We are extremely shallow. There's a reason why Matthew Knies name has been floating around, hes ine of few guys we could trade and actaully get something back. But I'd like to keep Knies. Insert Blake Coleman: 34 years old with 1 year left (4.9 M) on his contract, physical veteran with scoring ability. I don't think he would cost too much and cpuld be an impact player for us.

What do you guys think? Who do you want to get? I think this free agent class is very weak outside of Tuch and the right handed D-Men, so I'm glad we landed one of those guys already. I also think tbis will be the most active off season from our team in a while. We don't have our own first for 2 seasons so we gotta go for it now. We've been blessed with the #1 overall pick, we gotta take advantage. As much as this team can piss me off I ******* love this team and hope our front office can make some magic happen.

Vegas makes history with the most players on their roster to lose BOTH the Stanley Cup Final & Olympic Gold Medal in the same season. It was last done my in 2014 by Henrik Lundqvist & Carl Hagelin (NYR, SWE) and in 1998 by Sergei Gonchar (WAS, RUS)

Low CDN speed test results?

I was experiencing very bad buffering in basically any link with lossless audio. Even a 5.1 gb 1080p one.

I changed my DNS and ran a CDN speed test because thats the only answer I can find on any thread where other people have buffering issues.

I first started having buffering issues yesterday and thats when I started playinga round with stuff. I just ran another speed test right nkw and the results look terrible. It says the highest speed one for me is CNAM CDN with an average 8mbps, max 12 mbps and a ping of 289. That was the best by quite a bit.

Whats up with the low CDN speeds? And is anyone else experiencing similar buffering? I just watched a movie and the buffering was brutal at the beginning but ended uo making it through but the buffering started back uo again and I had to finish by switching to a small file.

Out with the old...

My dad handed me down this Pioneer Elite VSX-55TXi receiver. What a tank of a machine this thing was, clocking in at over 40 lbs.

This thing was solid for its time and is still good for stereo setups but unfortunately it was pre HDMI so I just had it hooked up to my TV with an optical cable.

I decided recently I wanted to get a modern receiver with all of the modern home theater technology to really enhance my movie audio.

I just scored this Denon AVR-S750H for $250 CAD on facebook marketplace. It came with the remote and an Audyssey mic. I havent set up the Audyssey just yet but I am hearing a difference immediately. Trialing it with Dune Part One right now.

One of my favourite immediate QOL changes so far is eARC. I've got a firestick hooked uo to my tv and then an hdmi cable running from the tv to the receiver, and being abke to control everytging with just my firestick remote is great.

The only thing that made me think twice before purchasing was the 75w per channel. But after lookimg into it more I think that will be much more minor of an issue than I thought at first. Also it doesnt have 4k/120hz but I game on PC so that doesnt really effect me at all.

My budget setup is now:

Denon AVR-S750H - $250

PSB Century 800 towers - $200

PSB 200C Center Channel- included in towers deal

Martin Logan Dynamo 800X subwoofer - $350

So im $800 all in for my 3.1 setup right now and I think it punches way above that. The sub alone retailed for more than that new.

Now for all the Denon receiver users, what can I do to get the most out of this machine? I just downloaded the HEOS and Denon AVR Remote App so I will play around with those in a bit.

Both pairs for $200 CAD

Found both pairs listed separately by the same seller on facebook. He had the Cerwin Vega AT-10'S listed for $150 and the Paradigm Mini Monitor V.6 for $100. I offered him $200 for both and he accepted.

I currently have a pair of PSB Century 800's with a 200C Center Channel for my living room setup and was browsing for a big pair of spealers for my man cave / garage. But instead of using the Cerwin Vegas for that, I decided to clean, test, and relist both pairs of speakers. The goal is to end up flipping my way into a pair of speakers I love for the garage or find a pair that I like so much that I can demote the PSB's I have to the man cave.

I've been interested in getting into the flipping game for a whike cause I love just playing around with speakers, and also love the hunt of finding a good deal!

Within 30 minutes of listing the speakers, I have lined up a buyer to pick up the Cerwin Vega's for $240, so I am already in the green on these!

I was testing both of these last night, and the AT-10's get super loud and low but they sound much less detailed/layered then my PSB. The paradigm mini monitors however, sound very detailed! Love them honestly.

Here is the specs of each speaker for those interested:

Cerwin Vega AT-10: 3 way ported design with 10" woofer, 5" mid range cone, 1" micro-cell polyurethane dome tweeter. 95db sensitivity rating, 5-125 watts power handling, 30hz-22khz frequency response, continuous output of 116.5 db

Paradigm Mini Monitor V.6: 6.5" M-ICP Translucent woofer, 1" H-PTD Titanium dome tweeter, 70hz-20khz frequency response, 90db sensitivity, 15-100w power handling
