‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ Lenders Pitch Loans for Needs Like Electricity and Rent The rapid growth of pay-later loans raises questions about whether their popularity is driven by consumer preference or desperation.
What could possibly go wrong?

Unimpressed with Sherweb's sales follow through. Is this typical?
I've been unhappy with PAX8 for quite some time. About 2 weeks ago I filled in the on-line new customer inquiry form at Sherweb, noting our monthly spend of around $ 25k. A couple of days later I got a reply from a Sherweb rep asking about setting up a meeting. I sent him details about our stack and agreed to a meeting, which took place a couple of days later.
The meeting went well. Rep was a former PAX8 guy so he knows the warts. Was also honest about the limitations of Sherweb's offerings (not as deep as PAX8, but has everything we need) and their outdated GUI. We talked about the transition process. No red flags as far as I was concerned.
Rep asked if I could send over our PAX8 monthly billing CSV so they could analyze and tell me if they could save on our cost. I sent the CSV over a week ago and still have not heard back. I emailed the guy yesterday asking for a status and...crickets.
I was expecting a much more responsive interaction. Is this typical?
EDIT/UPDATE: Someone at Sherweb saw my post and must have asked around to see if they could suss out who I am. This morning I received a call from the salesy guy who apologized for being less than responsive. He had a family situation which I absolutely understand. In retrospect he agreed that there still should have been some of communication over the last week or so. The rep promised to provide the analysis of our PAX8 invoice by EOD on Thursday. We'll see if that holds.
Are the poly bags of frozen Brussels Sprouts discontinued?
The last couple of visits I've made to the local Wegman's and there were no poly bags of frozen Brussels Sprouts. Not interested in the Steam in Bag stuff. Tonight I didn't even see a shelf marker indicating where they should be.
Can someone in Frozen chime in?

In our case we were running 5.5.8. After some back and forth with S/H support I was told that they might release a patched version of 5.5.8 with no ETA.
We were out of maintenance but given the (thus far) nebulous information about any sort of "security issue" we renewed maintenance to get the latest update.

I filled out the Contact Us form on the ShopRite web site.
They say my information was Recieved.
Oh my.
Edit: I filled out the form at 7:36pm. I immediate received an auto-reply time stamped 11:36pm.
ShopRite operates 4 hours into the future. I should ask them what the PowerBall numbers are gonna be.
When our prior driver retired I was concerned that no one could live up to his level of service. But along came Steve who filled those shoes for the last 6+ years. Yesterday I received this thank you card in the mail from Steve. A total class act.
Steve and I talked about his plans for the future (still up in the air). I have his number and hope to keep in touch. Our route it currently "up for bid" so we shall see who we get next.
Fingers crossed.
Customer has an old Eaton UPS that is overdue for replacement. IT power needs are modest, but they have a radio communications system (police department) also connected to the UPS that pulls a lot of power.
Eaton provided a quote for a 15 kVA unit with a bypass switch and upgraded warranties. Total list price is over $ 40k.
I asked the sales engineer for a description of one $ 380 item that I didn't understand. He says that is a charge for Eaton to run tests before the unit leaves the factory (and for them to supply documentation of those tests) to ensure that the unit meets factory specifications.
$ 380 on a $ 40k transaction is obviously just a drop in the bucket. but this is reminiscent of junk fees that we see these days on so many products and services.
I should just suck it up and pay it, right?
