Konjac Noodles: What's the catch?

Konjac Noodles: What's the catch?

When I first tried konjac/shiritaki noodles, I thought they were absolutely horrific. As a soup noodle lover, the texture and slurpability was just so wrong. But, after many attempts eating them alongside some real noodles, I actually kind of enjoy them on their own. They are so low calorie for how filling they are, so besides the edibility of the stuff, is there is a catch?

I feel like they would be way more popular if it just worked the way I'm understanding it from the nutrition label.

How to use monopod for macro video

Hi everyone, I've been trying to improve my insect macro videography. Someone here suggested I use a monopod as opposed to shooting handheld, but i find my footage is still shaky and jittery after trying a bunch of different techniques. Is a monopod just not it for macro video? I love using my tripod but it's just so bulky and hard to set-up when I'm trying to shoot flighty insects. Any advice would be appreciated.

Why are my videos so shit?

I hate to ask such beginner questions here, but every resource I've found is for macro photography and I haven't seen much good for videography. I need to shoot macro footage of mainly insects and other arthropods, preferably handheld. I have the new Sony 100mm lens and a ZV-E10 for the body (not ideal but all I have for now). I am familiar with the basic operating of a camera but completely new to any and all macro.

These are some of the better raw videos I shot the other day: Snail, harvestmen, birds

I find that despite using the red-marks that helps with focus while recording, some of the footage is unfortunately a bit blurry or fades in an out of slight blur which I don't notice while recording. There seem to be many micro-jitters in even the more stable footage, which I think will be an issue going forward. Also, I find that adjusting settings in the moment or knowing how to light the subject, especially one that's moving between focal depths, is incredibly difficult (which I'm sure doesn't go away). What are the big things I should be doing differently? My main goal is to capture nice video of hovering flies in a swarm.

Can my soundbar automatically turn on with bluetooth?

Hi all, I was recently looking into getting a nice sound bar, found this sub, and went with the reddit recommendation (Samsung Q990f). I enjoy the quality but still have to test it more.

My only issue so far is that it doesn't manually connect to my TV. I connected them with bluetooth, and my TV says that auto-connect is on with it, but it just doesn't connect until I go to my Tv settings and connect manually every time. It's not the biggest deal but a tad inconvenient to do every single time I use the Tv (which is a lot). It also seems that I have to use the soundbar remote to turn it on every time too. Anyone have a fix to this or know why it doesn't automatically connect? Also, open to any soundbar tips with how to position the small speakers and subwoofer for my small apartment living room. Thanks!
