The collection (coolest house on the block)

Assuming these upload in order, which is debatable seeing how I'm on mobile....

1. Lakewood Hassock Fan, the workhorse of my office, really nice to set over the floor vent for the ac and disperse it in the room better.

2. Old Dominion 12" Desk Fan, was at one point mounted on the wall, rearranged the room, it lives on the dresser now. Also a solid workhorse even if it's missing the center cap for the blade.

3. Westinghouse Mobilaire, I cannot remember the year off the top of my head, but when I got this one the motor was completely cooked in it. In leiu of rewinding a motor by hand, I sacrificed a much newer utilitech ventilator fan and made it work. It's got a shallower pitch blade, but spins faster, so it moves just as much air. Plus now it's a 3 speed not a 2 speed.

4.Schwitzer-Cummins Window Fan, I have not been able to find hardly any info on this fan. It's two 12" motors, I redid the wiring and it runs smooth and quiet, even if it takes one motor longer to come to speed than the other.

5. Marvin Dual 10" Window Fan, the first window fan I bought, still kicking. Low is one fan, medium is the other, high is both. The pitch of the two blades are slightly different.

6. Aurora Maid 12" Floor Fan, another mystery. I have not seen anything about the aurora maid brand, nor do I have any idea how old it is. This was the first vintage fan I ever got and was my loyal bedside fan for 2 years before being retired for the zero box fan from my parents.

7. McGraw-Edison "Zero" Box Fan, the one that my dad pulled from a scrap pile at work. This fan has been around since I was probably 14 or so, and served my parents well at their house until they gifted it to me when I got my first apartment living alone. Still works, a little loud but moves a ton of air.

8. Sears Homart Cooler Window Fan, the most recent addition. Works beautifully, quiet, and moves a ton of air.

Not pictured, my older westinghouse mobilaire that's all original but in rough shape, that lives in my garage, and my westinghouse 14" desk fan that's currently in pieces getting cleaned up.

Hopefully the formatting holds together when I post this, if anyone has any information on the aroura maid or the schwitzer-cummins, please let me know I would love to know more.

1940s or 50s Homart Cooler

Recently bought for dirt cheap, all the window sizing panels still there. Motor might have been changed at some point, it's got a GE from what looks like the 60s in it, and it was running the wrong direction but I got that all straightened out.

Soon to be restored.

The newest addition, manual 6.5

4 hour drive and the most cash ive ever spent on a vehicle later, I now own this 97 k3500.

6.5, nv4500, 4wd with a ton of bulletproofing already done to it. Engine has been replaced with an optimizer long block from quadstar, trans and transfer case are both reman units. All three were put in at 200k, truck has 235 on it.

Wicked wheel, pmd relocated, lift pump and remote spin on filter. Front axle lockup replaced with a cable pull.

This is the truck I will keep for the next fifteen years, even if the 4.10 gears mean 70 is the top speed lmao

Also featured, my brothers 99 6.5 suburban 2500, and my 93 gmc that lost reverse after two days.

4L60e/nv3500 for sale?

Anyone have a 4L60e that works or a nv3500 I could pick up for a swap? I got completely boned buying my 93 sierra with reverse going out two days into owning it, and I'm having one hell of a time finding a trans to replace it through the usual avenues.

I'm located in south central KY, so anything central KY down to like nashville area, I can come get.

As the title says, looking at buying an 05 avalanche. Any advice on where these things rot or common issues I should look for? It's a 1500, 5.3/4L60e/4wd. Full leather, bose sound system, and a sunroof.

American Racing Sawblades

Bought these 15x7 sawblades off a guy on fb (as usual) drove an hour to get them, dude only had one arm (kinda cool) and the rims were 50 bucks (kinda cheap) but his driveway was really steep and my truck has no reverse (4L60e) (kinda sucks) and I had to roll these things up his driveway (back pain) and the guy (with one arm) managed to get the other two rims up the driveway before me (how in the hell) while my gf watched from the truck (judging) but I got them home, sanded them up (back pain pt 2) and polished them a bit (back pain pt 3) (sneezing black for two days) now waiting for center caps to come in to put them on the truck they'll be the nicest thing on the truck (bling)

Alright, picking the minds of the older generation here since my dad never camped in any other weather than hot or slightly less than hot. Are the older coleman white gas heaters worth using? I'd like to try it out if it's safe to run them in a tent (with ventilation) and can be sure I won't get burned or choked to death running it.

Reason I ask is because I've got a guy wanting to trade a 513-700 adjustable heater for one of my 502 stoves. Comparable condition, so not worried about how good or bad a deal that would be, just wondering if I could use the heater if I pick it up.

The one on the right is the older one, from sometime in the 50s if I remember right. Still runs, I got it for dirt cheap because the capacitor had gone out in it and the woman thought it was toast. New cap, and it's good to go.

The one on the left is a fair bit newer, 60s I believe, and the motor was toast in it. I pulled the motor out of a much newer utilitech ventilator fan and fit it into the mounting brackets, and then cut the blades down to fit in the barrel of the fan. When I transferred over the motor, I also transferred the electrical so now I have a three speed fan instead of a two speed fan, which is nice

Also, word of warning for anyone repowering one of these- the motors spin counter clockwise. Most modern fans spin clockwise. Either cut the blades on the new fan down like I did, or pull the motor apart and flip the stator to make it run the opposite direction with the factory blades.
