Please help me layout our new master suite!

We added a 3rd child recently, so my husband has been restructuring the layout of our original master suite, old hall bath, laundry room, and an old bonus/sunroom to add a 4th room and give us a bigger master suite. The 4th bedroom is sectioned off now, and the area that will be our master bedroom, master bathroom/closet and laundry combined is what we are trying to layout. Below is a blueprint I sketched. It may not be 100% to scale but its as close as I can get it. The area with the bed is the bedroom obviously, and there is currently a brick wall between it and the rest of the suite. Part of what we are trying to figure out is where to cut the doorway that will combine the 2 areas into a suite.

The washer and dryer ideally need to stay where they are, and we are not moving the furnace for obvious reasons. The nook over to the right hand side is where we're thinking a walk in shower should go. Thinking about closet area in the bottom left corner of the sketch with a wall dividing the closet and bathroom area. Considering having the new door cut to where its a somewhat straight path from our bedroom to the doorway thats by the furnace, as that's where the hall opens up where our children's bedrooms are (theyre all young and one is nursing so I'm still up through the night some).

Open to any feedback or ideas. Id like a decent sized his and hers vanity. Would also love a freestanding tub if we can make it fit without compromising a good flow of the room. The doorway off of the right hand side of our bedroom leads into our living room, if it matters. The doorway on the top side is a slider that leads into our back patio. One thing I'm trying to keep in mind for decisions on where the door is cut, is that I need to be able to put a desk somewhere in the room (i wfh and prefer my desk to not be in an open area) in addition to furniture (2 dressers)

Newbie Looking for Advice on How to Achieve Best Result for Personal Project

Im not a graphic design professional by career (but I am in IT so I have a tech savvy background) but have done a bit for volunteer work and personal projects and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do something that I'm working on as a personal project for Christmas gifts for some family.

My grandmother wrote a weekly news article in our local papers when she was still alive. We lived in a very small community, most residents being my family, so it was basically our family news. Ive used a tool through the library in that town to download every article she ever wrote, and im trying to combine them all to have a file repository of scanned pages, but I'd also like to make it into a book to give my dad and my aunts/uncles for Christmas.

I have the file repository built out - but I've realized that doing the full page of each week is going to be way too costly. (She wrote it for over 25 years, and with some extra editions of the paper, it was a total of ~1500 pages) Id like to be able to take just a snippet of her article from each page, and combine them into one page for each month.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this to be able to condense it enough to not cost me an arm and a leg to print, and to also not take me forever to complete. I'm not opposed to downloading different software. I have some knowledge of Acrobat and that's what ive been using thus far as all files are in pdf format. I know how to take multiple psf files and convert them to 1 pdf, but I'm not sure if there is a way to do thay while also cropping out only a certain section of each page.

And advice or ideas would be appreciated. If there's another sub this would be better to post in, please give me ideas on that too!

Overwhelmed on where to begin

I've been curious about if i had any mthfr gene mutations for quite some time after going down reddit/tiktok/IG rabbit holes, and recently was told about uploading raw data from ancestry DNA which I did years ago.

One of the big reasons I've been curious is because I've had new and worsening major allergy issues - environmental, food, and chemical. It seems every day I'm reacting to new things, especially chemicals. Allergist mentioned looking into MCAS, but I haven't followed up on that with her yet. (Just had my 3rd baby so I've been a little busy)

I also have had 2 unexplained miscarriages, deal with migraines/headaches, brain fog and anxiety/OCD

Anyways, what I'm wondering - who do I work with to figure out my results and where to go from here, other than just doing my own research? Im breastfeeding so I don't necessarily want to take a bunch of supplements without working with a doctor. I did take a prenatal with methylfolate this whole pregnancy (and still am) rather than folic acid. I also take magnesium glycinate and have for years. Recently added in D3/K2, and I'm looking into adding a methylated B12 after reading my results. Any advice would be appreciated!

Struggling with a name for baby #3!

My husband and I are having our third and likely final baby anytime. I'm 37 weeks. We didn't find out the gender this time, so we need to have a boy and girl name ready. And we are struggling big time!

Our first born is Richard Elias - goes by Elias. Yes I know its hated on here to go by a middle name intentionally, no i do not care. Its a family name/tradition and we love it.

Our second born is Lettie Grace.

Our last name is kinda long. 3 syllables. Starts with Sch (Sk sound). Some names that end in S don't sound good with our last name as the Ss mesh together. Brooks was a favorite boy name of ours until we realized it sounds like Brooke when said with our last name.

A lot of the names I'm drawn to are older names. I like the way Lettie and Elias sound together and would like something thay also flows well with them.

Some names we both like but arent sure are "the one"

Sylvie or Sloane for a girl.

Hollis for a boy.

I like Cecilia, Edith, Etta or Ainsley for a girl, husband doesn't. He likes Regan or Jovie, I don't hate them but don't love them either.

I like Colter for a boy, he doesn't. He has no other suggestions for a boy but doesn't love Hollis either.

Id love to be able to use the middle name Reid for a boy (family name). And Id love to use Irene (family name), Paige, or Kay for a middle name for a girl. I don't think Sloane sounds good with any of those options, but Sylvie sounds ok with all of them.

Would love any thoughts or suggestions. I'm not necessarily in a hurry to pick the name right this second and I'm open to waiting until we meet baby to choose, but I at least want it narrowed down to a few options to choose from lol

We almost got hit by a car in the daycare parking lot today

My son is 3.5 and in daycare. We really like his daycare overall, and this issues isnt their fault obviously. I park in the back row of the parking lot that is normally less crowded because the amount of door dings ive gotten in that parking lot is absurd.

Today, when we were talking from my car to the door, we looked both ways twice like we normally do and proceeded to start crossing the back row, when a Jeep Cherokee comes out of nowhere- barreled into the parking lot and flew into the row we were in and into a spot. He had to have been going at least 25 mph IN A DAYCARE PARKING LOT. He was so close to hitting us. We were already crossing the row before he even entered the parking lot, so he clearly wasn't paying attention to have not seen us. This row has a lot less traffic because its a farther walk, but its still a DAYCARE PARKING LOT.

Thankfully I was paying attention, and thankfully it wasn't one of those days that my toddler was fighting me on holding my hand. I had to stop in my tracks and pull him back or we would have gotten hit. I was really shaken up.

The man realized what he did and apologized as he got out of his vehicle. I was stunned and hardly said anything, but I wish I had said more and had been more firm. I was too kind about it. He could have killed us. But I was in shock at what just happened.

My son didnt realize what happened. At the time I thought this was a good thing, but now I'm not sure? Normally he's clingy and upset when I drop him off, so I didnt want to make a big deal out of it and make things worse for him. He saw one of his favorite friends and ran off once we got into his classroom and I didnt get a chance to hug him and that's all ive been wanting to do all day long now.

I started bawling as soon as I got into the car. I called my husband but he couldn't answer (he called me back a few min later and helped me calm down). I then decided I needed to call the daycare. I told them I know it was an honest mistake and not their fault, but asked if they could maybe send out a message reminding parents to SLOW DOWN. This isn't the first time I've seen people driving way too fast and not looking where theyre going- but the first close call weve had. They said they absolutely would, but I haven't seen anything being sent out yet. Not sure if I should be upset by that or not, kinda numb at the moment.

I'm just sick over this. I hope it was a reality check for that man. He could have killed 3 people this morning (I'm 8.5 months pregnant), left my 1.5 year old daughter without a mother, and left my husband a widower. Thanks for listening. I just needed to vent.
