Is it the law to have dryer washer and fridge in California while selling? Do i need to leave it or can I sell it?

Hi all, relocating to Bangalore after many years working in the US, in QA/software testing (government healthcare IT domain). 16+ years of experience as a Senior QA Analyst/Lead, with a Master’s Degree.

Exploring QA/testing roles here — either Karnataka govt/PSU organizations or large IT services firms handling US-facing delivery work.

I don’t want to set expectations and want to know the current situation of the market given AI challenges plus job opportunities if I need to switch my role.

Question: for someone at this experience level, are IT staffing/recruitment agencies worth engaging, or is online job search (Naukri, LinkedIn, IIMJobs) enough on its own? Agency recommendations welcome.

I filed an EEOC inquiry within the 300-day window. My questions:

1. Does the formal charge of discrimination also have to be filed within 300 days, or does the timely inquiry preserve my deadline even if the charge is signed later?
2. Can I postpone the interview with the EEOC investigator, or does delaying it put my deadline at risk?
3. Once the employer is notified of the charge, is there a real risk they'll fabricate or backdate documents to justify the termination — and how do people protect against that?

Any insight from people who've been through the EEOC process would be appreciated.

Accepted an offer on my house at asking price. Buyers negotiated a $5,000 closing cost credit upfront specifically for cosmetic items like repainting, carpet, and kitchen cleaning.

My question is — am I still obligated to replace light bulbs, fix a towel bar holder, or do any other minor repairs before closing? The house is being sold as-is with the credit already baked in. There are no other issues apart from the mentioned.

I’m moving out of state and have zero motivation or time to fix anything given the credit was already agreed upon. What’s the norm here?

Financial / Banking

• Best way to transfer large amounts from US to India? Is it possible? Any limits to be aware of?
• Should I keep a US bank account open after leaving, and for how long?
• Any tax implications I need to handle before leaving (final US tax return, FBAR, etc.)?

Phone / Communications

• Can I keep my US number active without paying full plan rates? (Google Voice, etc.)

Shipping / Belongings

• Anyone used Transfer of Residence (TR) customs exemption for shipping electronics/personal goods? Tips?

I have to say I’m more of a simulation guy, loved Formula One, racing till date, I realized that when I started using Asetto Corsa rally, I genuinely felt a good amount of realism factor , it was immersive. It was realistic. It was amazing!

When I tried to Forza Horizon 6, it genuinely felt like trash. It felt so much like an arcade game that I got annoyed.

Is there any other racing game that could be as immersive as asset of course Ali?

Planning to move from the US to India soon and trying to figure out the best way to carry my desktop PC.

I currently have a full build in a Corsair 4000D case (Ryzen 9 + GPU setup), but the case is pretty big and not very travel-friendly. Instead of carrying the whole tower, I’m thinking of dismantling it and packing the components (GPU, motherboard with CPU, RAM, PSU, AIO cooler) separately in anti-static bags inside my luggage, and then buying a new case and reassembling everything once I reach India.

Has anyone here done something similar?

Any issues with airport security or customs?

Is it safe long-distance (especially for GPU/motherboard)?

Any packing tips or things I should absolutely avoid?
