More Japan & Germany

Faber Castell 9000 HD, Mitsubishi Hi-Uni HB, & Mitsubishi Nano Dia 2B arrived today.

Tested on Rhodia Dotpad and with Sakura & Tombow erasers. Happy with all. I didn't weigh them but the Nano Dia feels drastically lighter than most of my other wooden pencils. Happy to add more to my fleet; with Mitsubishi still usually being my overall favourite brand.

The simplest homemade passport

I'd been using passport sized TN notebooks for a bit but never with a cover. Spare vegetable tan from another project and I put together my own cover the other evening. Just a flat cut with the edges edged and burnished and I'm happy; I did emboss my last name to the back after taking these photos. I'm very excited to see how it ages since the medic/writer's bag in the photos is the same hide just used for a few months.

Homemade stationery transportation

Eyeing Traveler's Notebooks and had some spare vegetable tanned leather and elastic so went ahead and made my own cover. Currently just a single insert that I already had, but interested in building it out a little more as I figure out what I'd like.

I'm excited to see how it's going to age; the medic/writer's bag in the pictures is from the same hide and only a few months old and you can already see how it has begun to age.

What've you homemade instead of purchasing for your storage or stationery?

Just got my size 5 (tallest) black kilties in and on my black RATs. Was slightly concerned with their width when first lacing them but with the tongue in a "Z" fold they fit well.
