Bit of a change from my usual historical stuff! After months of sitting on the shelf looking at me I thought it was time I started painting the Tomb Kings bloodbowl team from the starter box.
They didn’t turn out too bad! Skeletons to do next!

First of the Russian infantry for the 1812 Retreat from Moscow rules from Pazoot. 28mm Perry metal figures. Should be able to get a game sorted next week with any luck!

A couple of plastic trucks from Amazon/Temu painted as generic German transports. Added some seated troops in the back which came from a warlord games frame I picked up ages ago!
Painted a few more WW2 British, some of the most dangerous things on the battlefield - officers with maps…..
A PIAT team, just so I can shout “Bring up the PIAT!!” And a banner - because all my bolt action forces have one and I’m a Napoleonic player at heart so miss a flag or two 🤣

10 tabletop quality WW2 British infantry painted in an evening!
Now I’ve got that figured out I’ll get another 10 done tomorrow night and then finish the whole 36 man platoon early next week!
They’re a little rough compared to the Soviets I painted yesterday but these are plenty good enough for gaming!
I’ll get the bases done over the weekend.
Another four WW2 Soviet infantry painted tonight, I now have the first squad of 6 finished and will have the last 4 done next week.
Tomorrow I’m planning on working out a way to paint WW2 British infantry fast, by that I mean bloody quick - a ten man squad in an evening quick…

28mm plastic skeletons from wargames Atlantic with hand painted shields.
28mm Soviet infantry from warlord, tried a different approach with these, no wash, just three mixed layers - dark, mid & light. Did an extra highlight on the rain capes. 8 more to paint and it’s Nice to do something different for a change.
Mixed bag tonight, 3x Norman crossbows and another banner.
Also got a Viking hut painted, not sure about the roof but it’s fine for gaming - I’ve got another 3 to paint sometime.
Had a copy of this waiting for me when I got home, looking forward to giving it a read over the weekend.
Made a start on my Norman warband for Pillage with the armoured infantry.
Thought I’d have a go at painting the shields again! I don’t think they turned out too bad.

Pillage at the club, my Irish took on a generic list with a similar number of troops & a couple of cavalry as well. good game and nice to face cavalry for the first time, got a win! That makes 5 played, 5 won putting me at the top with 5 games to play in the club pillage league.
Managed to finish painting my Toldi 2 & CSABA Armoured Car for my Bolt action Hungarians. Both kits from warlord games.
And that’s the completed Prussian battalion based with the standard added. 28mm plastics from HaT miniatures.
I’m calling this finished!
The new plastic 28mm PAK40 from Warlord painted as a Hungarian gun.
Really like the plastic gun, I’ll be all over the Soviet ones when they release them!!

More Dark Age Irish tonight. Thought I’d “grow up” and have a go at hand painting some shield designs on this lot.
I must say that they turned out better than I expected so hopefully the next 30 or so I do will get better & better!!! 🤣
28mm wargames Atlantic plastics, really like these figures as they have no shoes and I really don’t like painting shoes!!!
