Mino inconsistent performance

Bought a Mino recently. The maximum I can get is two full heating and brewing cycles. Often enough when used with pods it wont use all 50ml of water and have to restart brewing manually. I never managed to get a decent crema smth that was quite easy with my old Wacaco. Anyone had similar performance concerns?

Flexispot tried to charge again cancelled order

Ordered a E7 plus on 7/7. Chose after pay with Klarna. After two days got informed the desk is backordered and would take a while to arrive so I asked for cancellation. Indeed order was cancelled and klarna payment cancelled as well. Out of a sudden on Saturday got a message from Klarna that I have to pay 389e (it shows the desk without the top and the cable tray). Reached out to Flexispot support but no reply yet. Anyone had the same issue?

Z50II lens options

Hey folks! Jumped recently from a D7200 to a Z50II. I started with the Tamron 18-300 and a Nikon DX 24mm f/1.7. Quickly realised the 24mm didn't suit my style (mostly travel photography, airliners/airshows, and a bit of wildlife), so I sold it.

The 18-300 has been great and reminds me a lot of my old trusted DX 18-200, but I'm finding myself wanting a bit more width than 18mm and a bit more reach than 300mm. It's also not exactly light as a walkaround lens and isn't very bright.

I'm considering two options:

Option 1

  • Replace the 18-300 with the Sigma 16-50 f/2.8 as my main lens
  • Add a Tamron 50-400 for aviation/wildlife

This seems like the best image quality setup.

Option 2

  • Nikon DX 12-28 for ultra-wide/travel
  • Nikon Z 28-400 as the all-round tele zoom
  • Possibly add the Nikon DX 16-50 kit lens as a lightweight walkaround

This gives me a much wider range overall and is lighter, but obviously slower.

Am I overlooking another combination? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

How to display?

MT is done! Took me a while!

How you would suggest to display it? Above Rivendell and Shire or in the middle of them?

Barad Dur has its own place!

Outin Nano or Mino

Hey folks, sold my Wacaco Nanopresso that served me for a while to go for one of the Outin options.

Mainly for travelling and to use with pods (use those coming from my local coffee shop with great results so far). I plan to use some ground coffee as well (the same variety I use in my SA, but will ask my coffee shop to grind it).

Is there any benefit to get the Mino vs the Nano in that scenario as there is a price difference there.

Any thoughts?

GROND 40893 honest review

So!! When GROND was leaked we all had great hopes! Not that we should even complaint as at the end its a free GWP - one that is put behind a 650e set so rather exclusive set.

Building experience is okeish (some interesting buidling techniques of the base - but thats all). I felt the siege tower and the subsequent customisation was far greater experience than Grond.

Looks are also okeish - I think will work well with Minas Tirith although she is so deep I doubt anyone will have space to display it in front of the city gates and would rather display it on the side. Will get back to that later.

Customisation wise - I think it could be customised so that the base matches closer the real one (I think it had three baseboards or whatever these things are called).

Finally if we try to rank the LoTR GWPs (excluding the BrickHeads that came with Rivendell) the Smeagol and Deagol set of last year comes first to my mind by far (also came with a far less expensive set). Then I would rank the Nazgul-Fell Beast and GROND comes only at last. Ιf GROND was coming with another figure, I would re-consider it. Eg. I think they should have given us the Witch King with Barad Dur instead of Gothmog and they should have paired the latter with GROND. It would have been far more appealing as GWP.

Ikea Billy corner layout

Hey folks.

Need to expand my Billy bookcase to compliment the current setup which mainly houses my Lego collection. I need 3 new sets (40cm deep, 40cm wide) but I am not sure which corner setup is better.

The traditional one that puts one in the corner at 45 degrees or a more radical one at 90 degrees without a corner set. I see that most setups are with a corner set and now I am not sure what would be the best.

Any thoughts are welcome!
