The train ride

A professor sits next to a farmer on a train. Quickly becoming bored, the professor decides to suggest a game to pass the time.

"I have a little game for you," said the professor. "I'll ask you a question. If you don't know the answer, you give me €5. Then you ask me another question. If I don't know the answer, I'll give you €500. What do you think?"

The farmer, intrigued, nods and agrees.

The professor begins: "What is the exact distance between the Earth and the Moon?"

Without saying a word, the farmer takes €5 out of his pocket and hands it to the professor.

Now it's the farmer's turn. He thinks for a moment, then asks: "What animal climbs a mountain with three legs and comes back down with four legs?"

The professor was taken aback. He racked his brains, reviewed everything he knew, consulted his notes, and tried to find a logical explanation. But nothing worked. Finally, he gave up, took €500 out of his wallet, and gave it to the farmer.

The farmer takes the money with a satisfied smile and settles down comfortably for a nap.

But the professor, curious and unable to leave the question unanswered, wakes him up and insists: "So, what is this animal?"

Without saying a word, the farmer takes €5 out of his pocket, gives it to the professor, then goes back to sleep peacefully.

So the truckload gets thrown at me

So I'm on the "finding Lisa" mission. I'm still very weak and have the .22 rifle, a poor-shape 9mm, and an M40. Not much ammo even when full. I also have 3 Molotovs and three pipe bombs.

It took me a second to find the girl, then 14 ice ride into town. So I barely get through all of that stuff and out of ammo almost when we finally get back to my bike, and what do I see, a damn rager lying down right next to it.

I had nothing left to fight with; it was a nice time to quit for the day.

So this happened

A man and a woman who had never met before found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a Trans-continental train. Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly.....He in the upper bunk and she in the lower. At 1:00 AM, the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying, "Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold."

"I have a better idea," she replied. "Just for tonight, let's pretend we're married."

"Wow! That's a great idea!" he exclaimed.

"Good," she replied. "Get your own fucking blanket."

After a moment of silence, he farted.

Maybe they should just practice locking the door and turning off the lights and remaining silent while hiding under their desks…or is that just appropriate for kindergartners?

New Vet

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. Amazing, he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, What am I doing? I'm too old for this, and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."

"Have a good day, sir," replied the trooper

Just a question about stacking.

I think it's great that people are buying silver ounces and saving them.

I wonder how many of them are also coin collectors. I started collecting coins a long time ago—back in the mid-1970s—because my grandfather was a collector.

Silver was only about 7 bucks an ounce and it wasn't a priority, but I did think about it. I started collecting Canadian half dollars, trying to get every single year since they were first minted.

I'm not sure how many I have, maybe around 30 or so.. I'm in South America, and my coins are in the States at my sister's house.

I somewhat lost interest at one point but now with the Reddit silverbugs, my interest piqued again.

Btw all Canadian half dollars before 67' are 80/20 so add collectability and I think you get more for the dollar, but I'm not positive.

Fuck yes

An Australian's reply to Trump's rant about "NATO not being there for America" is perfect.

Posted on Facebook -

"Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.
You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.
Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates.
Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.
And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.
And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.
So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth."
