27.5 tire recommendations for my Fargo

Got a 27.5 wheelset for cheap and wanted to try it on my Fargo but I have no idea what tires I should use.
I loved the feel of my Grappler with 2.5 Ehlines but maybe I should go wider? 2.8 Rekon+?

I already have a „fast“ gravel bike so I’d love to experiment a bit.

I did the thing.

Got a good deal on this Fox 34 Factory. 120mm travel, 51mm offset, Cane Creek 40 headset. Also, swapped the front Ehline 2.5 for a 2.6 Honcho.

The bike is done, just in time for tomorrow - new trails are being opened and I can test the fork.

Color matching fork and stem

I know, I know… I would really like to match an orange stem to my Fox 34 Factory fork. Before I order 10 different stems, anyone found one that matches?

I saw RF, PNW and Deity have something similar.

31.8 and around 40mm would be good!

Appreciate you 🫶🏻

Wanted to get rid of my Fargo. Changed my mind.

Stole the wheels and cranks for my Krampus and then took everything apart so I could sell the frame.

Ended up buying new wheels and a used XT crank that was pretty scuffed. Put some wolf tooth crank protector on it and voila!

Pro Compact vs Farr Aero?

Anyone using one of these? Impressions?
The pro compact looks interesting and I think it would be perfect for me, just need some feedback before pulling the trigger.

Thanks!

Finished my Krampus!

Finally, dialed in!
I found a Rockshox Reverb dropper for cheap and oh boy, I wasn’t ready for it… The system was empty and it took me way too long to get all the damn air bubbles out. Alas, I have to watch out for my balls not getting smashed when it pops out. I know I can make it slower, but there something to it.

Anyway, here it is.

Stans wheels with XT hubs, Teravail Ehline 29x2.5 tubeless, XT RD, SLX cassette, SLX Shifter, XT cranks, Deore brakes with 180mm rotors, Origin8 stem, Surly sunrise bars, Crankbrothers stamp 2 pedals, Oury grips, Cane creek 40 headset.

Regenwassertank Frage?

Just tell me NO.

2025 Fox 34 Float Factory 130mm.
It’s going for 360€ because one stanchion is a bit darker than the other. In factory tolerance , according to Fox.

Thoughts?

EDIT:

Forgot to mention I use the Cane Creek 40 headset. What do I have to do to fit a fork like this? Do I need a new headset or can I make it work?

This feels illegal.

Tried a couple of top tube bags but this one from my old Grizl hits the spot. Also have the frame and handlebar bag.

And yeah, so far I’m loving my new Diverge.

That is all.

2.1 Thunder Burts on a Diverge

Curiosity got the best of me and I took of the new 47mm Teravail Cannonballs and replaced them with the 2.1 Thunder Burts I had in my parts bin.
What can I say… More clearance in the back than in the front but I’m gonna leave them on.

I inflated both of the tires to 30psi and they are about 51mm on the Roval Terra C 25mm rims.

I‘m posting this because the listed max tire clearance should be 47mm but I think there’s enough clearance if you don’t ride in the mud.

Today was new bike day!

Diverge Carbon Expert finally came and so did I.

Anyway, immediately switched to 47mm Teravail Cannonballs from the stock 42mm Pathfinders and noticed I have like 4mm of clearance on both sides. I thought the 47mm was the max and I was more than happy with that but now I’m considering the 2.1 Thunder Burts I have in the parts bin lol

Anyone tried them? I think it’s a 2025 Diverge expert carbon with Roval Terra C wheels.

Thanks!

I’ve been naughty 👹

Finally found a frame in the color I’ve always wanted! I finished the build today but still have to dial it in, clean up the cables…
The only dropper post I had was this TranzX with external routing, I‘ll probably keep it.
Also considering swapping to a Surly Cheater bar I have somewhere in my bin.

Krampus Frameset - 800€
Karate Monkey Frameset - 675€

It would be built up with 29 wheels and 2.5 Teravail Ehline tires, Surly Sunrise bars/Origin8 bmx stem, Deore brakes and XT crank (32t) and RD with a 12 speed SLX cassette.

Main use - go there where my gravel bike can’t, pull my kid in a trailer (she’ll be too big for it by the end of the year so not that important.
Probably no dropper. I’m going fully rigid.

I still want a British racing green Krampus but can’t find one in my size so I’ll settle with the nose drip curry one or get a lost at sea blue karate monkey.
Also, the name Krampus Turn me kinda on so consider that.

I have been staring at my phone for the last 4 hours and my wife can’t take any more questions about my new bike.

Help me, please.

Could it be that the small Krampus is almost identical to the medium Grappler? Been looking for medium British racing green frame for a while now because I thought I needed a medium and now I found one in size small.
I had a medium grappler and it was perfect.

If they are the same, then I could probably rock a small.

Also, any frame differences to the medium? Post your small Krampus if you have one 🤙🏻
