NHL and NBA playoffs should be best of 1.

The only professional sport that should have a "best of" playoff series is baseball, and that's only because of starting pitchers. If you're fielding the same team each game, then you should play knowing you won or go home.

Don't give me this excuse of trying to let the best team win if they drop a game for whatever reason. Champions win when they have to, regardless if you think the wrong team advanced and the better team just had a bad night.

Plus single games make it more exciting and can't miss. Just look at the NFL the Super Bowl is only 1 night and it's become a cultural phenomenon. The NBA and NHL finals, and even the World Series, casual fans can miss the first 2 or 3 games and not care at all, then pick it up when the championship is on the line.

This especially goes for hockey which has no business being played in late spring, early summer. It should be ending playoffs in April, not just starting them for 2+ months!

I got a grade changed in college, but never did the work.

So the textbook for my sociology class in college was just a collection of printouts and worksheets the teacher printed out and put in the campus bookstore every semester. She only printed out exactly enough for that semester once scheduling was locked. When I went to buy my books for the semester, I was just short and one book would have to wait a week until pay day. I decided that sociology would be the one to wait.

By the time I got back to the bookstore, the last "textbook" was gone. She either took it back to save for next semester, or someone bought an extra one. She didn't give tests or anything like that, the entire grade was based on several projects outlined in the printouts, and she mentioned them until it was time to turn them in. So obviously, I got a 0 and failed that class.

I only had 2 semesters left until I got my degree, so I decided to wait and see if I needed to make that class up. Then one day while walking around campus that professor saw me and flagged me down. She asked why I never did Amy of the assignments, and I told her the truth, and that I'd take the class again next semester.

She felt bad and told me if I stopped by her office she'd give me the assignments, and as long as I gave them back to her in the next few weeks she'd change my grade. I agreed, and at that time I hinestly had every intention of doing just that.

An hour later, I got an email saying my grade from last semester was changed. When I checked my student account, she changed my sociology grade from an F to a C. I never did see her again, and graduated at the end of the year.

Looking for "leave me alone" recommendations

Give me your songs, albums, or bands that send the message 'I hate myself' or 'I hate everyone else and everything'. Preferably metal or punk, but anything fast. I need some fuel when I'm at the gym...

At least in the US, the government is one of the most untrustworthy, corrupt, greedy, self-serving groups of people out there. They no longer serve the people they represent, but the lobbyists and corporate pacs that fund their campaigns and help them line their own pockets. Despite this, people routinely vote to keep the incumbents in, and say they want this band of liars, murderers, rapists, and thieves in charge of their Healthcare, educating our young,, and taking care of the less fortunate. Do people really think that's the best option?
