Haven't had my machine plugged in for almost a year

My childhood best friend is pregnant and I made this for her baby. I still need to back it and bind it, but I'm feeling really proud of myself and wanted to share.

I would consider myself a textile artist, but I haven't had my sewing machine set up for over a year--so it was thrilling to see that part of myself again! The project was a nice size to not be overwhelmed at all (squares were 5" to start).

I chose these colors because the baby's father, my friends husband is a harvester.

I hope he feels honored.

I locked in today and just wanted to share my excitement! 🧵

Flower DREAD.

Tonight I reached my last quest to fully unlock the greenhouse!

Learned I need to get FOURTEEN colors of each extremofile flower (fourteen of each feels like millllllions right now)

Looking into how to breed flowers, I get immediately overwhelmed. Almost wanting to cry. Like when my dad used to try to teach me math.

I don't know Cogimyun. I don't know Usahana. (Don't have either of those DLCs)

I guess I'm just venting. This feels so complicated/tedious for a cute lil bedtime game. I love this game, just feeling overwhelmed. Open to advice or perspectives

Thank you

Sketchbook Spreads

Recently I fell in love with colored pencils and I'm challenging myself to draw more.

My last sketchbook was mainly a junk journal; this has been an exciting shift for me.

(Other media used: acrylic pens, washable markers)

Calendar Junk Collages

I have too many months in my five year planner, so I'm junk journaling them to enjoy for the upcoming years!

Thinking I'll leave some of the pages empty or partial so I can keep adding in the future

(Monthly, 2026-2031 Calendar)

My current calendar was 2024-2026. 2026 overlaps, so I don't need 2026 in the new one and I've got extra space for cute little junk collages :)

Back at it :)

I've been embroidering for fifteen years. A few years ago, I got burnt out. And that was incredibly embarrassing to me for some reason.

I recently started an Art Therapy grad program that has leaned into our own personal art-making as students and as individuals.

I've found myself enjoying stitching again.

Pictured are some things I've recently completed or worked on.

The denim with black stitching is an over-shirt I've been covering in "tattoos". Some are sentimental, some were simply fun to draw.

It started as a response piece for a project in grad school and I've been excited to keep wearing it and adding to it.

Some of these patches were made in the last year. I made most of these patches forever ago, and it feels nice to finally home them. It feels nice to enjoy stitching again. 🧵🪡

Happy With Myself

Here are some of my finished pages from a Coco Wyo coloring book.

I'm falling in love with colored pencils!!

I'm finding so much joy and feeling so proud of myself.

Mixed media: alcohol markers, washable markers, colored pencils, sometimes crayon 🖍️

Sometimes I ask my partner to blindly pick my color palette -- he's a good sport and that adds a really fun layer that also helps with occasional choice paralysis.

Which page is your favorite?

April-July 2026 Junk Journal

I started this sketchbook at the very end of my art therapy internship.

I've begun to realize that I need to make art regularly, if not everyday.

My last sketchbook was only 4"x4" so I had a blast playing in all this space.

(This one was a whopping 8"x8"!)

It was the fastest I've ever filled a sketchbook! Can't help but feel proud of it :)

I drew my HKIA character ✨

I have been wanting to practice drawing more.

I've been doing a lot of junk journaling lately and I've challenged myself to start drawing more in my new sketchbook. So here's my latest character! I just switched to the chonk version and I love her!!! Please take a look and be kind!

Happy adventure-ing! 🐚 🌿 🪨 🍎 🩷
