Courtney to "appear" at Stagecoach Festival (as a spectator...or not!)

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcJ3\_XyyHrq/?igsh=MXFjbTFzYTZuYTBibg==

Courtney reposted this dreadful (though obviously done by very brilliant musicians) folk cover of a song by the far more dreadful band Train (just my opinion!), from a group led by Butch Walker. Is this what he's up to these days? Quite a severe departure...but asking for only Marvelous 3 is as inappropriate (or almost, since they reunited a few years ago, put out a new album, and do a handful of shows in certain cities once a year...CL should consider integrating that model into her tour plans) as asking for more Celebrity Skin-style stuff from Courtney. 🫤

She also typed an overlay with something like "so down for Stagecoach!". Stagecoach Festival (where he will be playing) is a country music festival, apparently the biggest one in the world (God help us)...it's in April 2027 in CA. Maybe she'll be performing? Or guesting on a song? Or just going for fun? Or maybe *gasp* Cricket Nordstrom will show up! 😮

Who knows! Plus it's a week after Coachella. 🤔

(The girls are leaving Texas now, to get an abortion...or not!)

MADMs top 5 Hole songs (she loves "Burn Black"! 🖤)

Fascinating that the germination of Awful was from her and Patty jamming! And she's totally right about Miss World, as well as Reasons to be Beautiful...that song was constructed (with the help of NOT Billy, but the great Go-Go's lead guitarist Charlotte Caffey, who had her own heroin thing that she overcame, as well as Melissa's bandmate in Tinker, Jordan Zadorozny - I can't believe I remember how to spell his name...that's how much I LOVE this song!) like a haunting, creaking, century-old LA mansion...the anti "Hotel California". The arrangement and background vocals are spectacular, and Courtney totally rises up to meet the challenge head-on! 🤟

Courtney addresses the new record...and then doesn't.

Click to see full Instagram video.

EDIT: CL literally put out a more extended version of the video minutes after posting the first one...which originally ended with the "colors" stuff and that was it!!! I was like "this is her final statement on the album before going off social media?!?"

THIS (the paragraphs below) was me reacting to that shorter video...and then as I saw the extended one I tried to go back and adjust my comments, which I did, but the damn ship had already sailed. If I had seen the real FULL video first, my comments would have been skewed differently and been more positive!

Sorry about that...Courtney don't make things easy but it's always worth it! 🙃 I can't revamp the whole thing, I really should just erase it. But F it. Ok, as you were...

---> She says the record is done...and then starts talking about colors as a metaphor for her demeanor as a child? 😐

In the text below the video she does mention that she really wants to tour, and then lists who helped her with the album, which includes Billie Joe (which I think is a great sign, he's collaborated with other people with great results).

She also talks about her really bad health problems from about 5-6 years ago, so I think she for sure deserves a grace period for that scary shit...I'm so glad she was able to get through that! 🙏 She also says she'll be off social media for awhile because she has to do some "analog stuff"...if anyone has any guesses on what that might mean please do share. ❓ I thought maybe some more vocals but the album is "done". Maybe some work on the documentary or book? Maybe she wants to go listen to vinyl records for a few months? 🤯

And she looks absolutely beautiful and sounds great...BUT what we DON'T get is any insight on when the album will come out...or the documentary...or the book. I guess it's better than saying something again that's similar to what she said in 2022 ("oh you'll get the album by Christmas").

I definitely get her point about needing to figure out how to roll the album out etc...I'm all for that, especially since this is to be a redemption record and the release has gotta be done right...but at the end of the day we are no closer to any possible release windows on any of the three projects than we were yesterday. 😵

Kristen and Mark (NSFW)

So this is fairly graphic...it's not that bad, but still...if you're triggered by overtly sexual content you should probably pass on this one. But if not, it's a very interesting (and sad) anecdote.

I guess myself or someone could summarize it for those who don't want to hear explicit male stuff. If there's anyone who would prefer this don't hesitate to speak up, there's no shame in it I promise you.

It's still a horror that Kristen passed in such an instantaneous, spontaneous way. Courtney mentioned once (sometime in 94) that it was wrong that Kristen's passing was so overshadowed by Kurt's.

It's unreal that this fatal overdose shit happened to so many Seattle musicians/friends of musicians that they all started to get used to it as just part of life. God Almighty.

Courtney's new IG post: Tons of previously unseen outtakes from Violet/Miss World videos & Hole photoshoots!

It's after a clip of CL at a Suki show, and a pic of her at the Chateau Marmont (again!). Tis a must-see! ♥️

Edit: Ahh of course Eric posted it first on the Holemusic account...I missed a day, lol. And I hate those little blurred out blue boxes next to some Reddit posts...otherwise I may have seen that this was posted already! Though I think it's fairly newsworthy that CL reposted it. 🤟

Pitchfork has an article on it:

Ms. Finch and the ladies in action 🤟

I know it's not exactly "cool", as the early 90s stuff is so iconic, but this is my favorite L7 song...and come on, the toy guitar?  They combined humor and heavy thrashing so perfectly. ♥️ RIP Jen, still can't believe it.

The Lutfi megathread is gone. And CLs Insta has a new intro. 😮

(EDIT - WHEN YOU SEARCH COURTNEY LOVE ON IG, IT SHOWS WHAT LOOKS LIKE HER IG PAGE, WITH THE SAME PICTURE AND BLUE "VERIFIED" SYMBOL...AND WHEN YOU CLICK ON IT, IT HAS A SIMILAR LOOK BUT PROVIDES AN AI SUMMARY WITH A BUNCH OF EVER-CHANGING GARBAGE (the latest one talks about her releasing the new single "You Know My Name" and planning a tour of the UK for 2025...this is Meta AI having absolute conniptions). THIS IS SEPARATE FROM HER ACTUAL PAGE. REALLY SORRY ABOUT THAT GUYS! OF COURSE IT WAS LATE (I gotta stop that) AND WITH ALL THE FACEBOOK WEIRDNESS I THOUGHT HER IG WAS OVERTAKEN TOO, WITHOUT TAKING A CLOSER LOOK. SORRY AGAIN! 😞

(I also have needed glasses for a while, that has caused problems for me on here too...I should probably stick to IPad! I should also probably delete this whole thread, but there's a few useful bits of ACCURATE info from the fine Reddit-educated folks in the comments!)

The soccer threads are there but the one that went really in-depth (titled "that Sam Lutfi guy is back in Courtney's life") is DEFINITELY gone!!! I'm officially creeped out...I wasn't really before. But when does a long, detailed thread just VANISH on this sub? Sorry but that's nefarious as hell.

Also this might be totally unrelated but CLs insta has a whole new 3 paragraph intro... it's pretty strange. "Hole front woman and Nirvana widow?" 🫤 And she played two shows in 2025 with a band called Kitten? And her memoir is due at the end of 2025? It's AI hell.

Hairline crack in center of screen...best move?

I have been using smartphones for 15 years, and I have never ONCE damaged any of them. HTC Sensation, HTC One M8, HTC 10 (this one was sharp, but it was basically HTCs swansong), Samsung Galaxy 9 Plus, Pixel 7, and now Pixel 10 Pro XL. I didn't even use a case (unless leaving the house for some kind of substantial outing) until (ironically) I got my current phone. I know, STUPID, but I like how the phone design feels in my hand...and like I said my track record (and phones) were unblemished!

I have babied every one of them, because I like them and have a longtime interest in reading reviews and keeping up with the industry. For this reason, I get enjoyment out of them being in perfect condition, and have been successful...until today.

For months now I've had to travel to a lot of different hotels/motels...the moving process has really started to wear on me (remembering where everything is, misplacing little items). So today I (like an IDIOT) put my phone in a bag with a glass water bottle. Unbelievable oversight. 😮 Now my 3 month old Pixel 10 Pro XL has a half-inch hairline shallow crack near the center of the screen.

Perfection (at $350 for a new screen) is out the window for now. I'm okay with that...I just want to preserve the phone as long as I can until then...if/when it becomes absolutely necessary I'll throw money at it, but that's a lot of money for me at the moment. I'm not having any issues with the touchscreen's operation or anything else.

Now for my question: I've read that placing a screen protector on it (I know, a little late!) can help contain the crack and heal it somewhat. For the best results in my sorry-ass situation, should I use a tempered glass protector or a TPU/Hydrogel one?

I come to you fine people because in the past hour AI has offered DIRECTLY opposing views on this topic (thanks robots!). Very strongly worded opinions for one type and against the other, and then the reverse! Really bizarre. I realized I needed a human brain to give me sound advice.

I am also now convinced by this little event that the human race WILL survive AI ✊...I mean a Waymo just ran into a bunch of lit fireworks! Human would say "shit I should stop or go around those!" but Waymo - unoccupied luckily - just moseyed right into them 🚙.

Anyway thank you SO much in advance for your insight regarding my predicament. 🙂

Hole live in early 1993

This is from Charles Peterson's essential photo book about the Seattle scene, "Screaming Life". All the pictures are in his signature black and white style (seen on tNirvana's "Bleach" album artwork, among other places).

Since I first bought the book as a kid when it came out (in 1995) and arrived at this page, it's been my favorite live CL photo. 🤟

Hole: Celebrity Skin Album Review | Pitchfork

Hmm...haven't read it yet. Every Sunday Pitchfork does a modern review of an album from the past. Should be interesting!

(PS - On one browser there seemed to be a paywall but once I posted it here I was able to access it...if there's any issue I'll copy and paste the review here)

This is lame but does anyone save (or have personal highlights of) CLs Instagram Stories?

I have Instagram but I don't use it much and I have like 50 people on there whose Stories and updates I don't necessarily want to see all the time...I know there's a way to just be notified of specific members' Stories instead of everyone's, but I did it wrong so I missed a bunch of CLs recent ones. To tide me over until I fix my dumbness, If anyone can tell me what has stuck out to them as some highlights or memorable moments, or if she's shared any info about her music or other endeavors, or anything you found insightful or what topics she's commented on, I would be most grateful! And please 🙏 excuse me (and my dear Aunt Sally) for being Insta-idiotic. Xoxo

EDIT: Thanks to you guys who took a minute to respond. I really appreciate it. To everyone else who has read this, hi!

Hang On Tight w/MADM on lead vocals

Do you guys remember this/come across it over the years? As a Hole fiend I was always on the lookout for any activity by the other members (while CL was in Versace and Vogue, lol...can't say I didn't enjoy that too, even though it apparently meant she wasn't "authentic" anymore...a - that's bullshit, and b - twas great to see her do healthy!).

Anyway I love this song so much. Melissa is all over this track, and Billy produced the album (and sings on a couple songs). RIP Ric...I'll never know how Weezer got him to produce their debut album! Must've had connections or a Veruca-type buzz happening. I'm sure there's an answer but I had too many Blue Album freaks as friends when I was a kid so I don't mind staying mystified...it is really good but didn't like change my life or anything. 🫤

I like this song because it's cool hearing Melissa sing lead in her "pretty" voice, as opposed to the aggressive rock voice she uses on her debut album (with the exception of track 9, which featured such lovely Malibu on Mars-type guitars from Eric Erlandson ♥️...I hope he returns from Mars and puts out some more music sometime).
