I launched iKnowMyMac on 1 October. It's a native Mac app that tells you why your Mac is slow, what's filling your disk and what's draining your battery, and it updates your other apps from one tab.

First 6 days:

- 34 licenses sold at $4.99 (the first 100 are at that price, then $9.99)

- 11 on launch day, 23 in the 5 days after

- Buyers in at least 10 countries

It's sold directly on my website, not the Mac App Store, because the sandbox blocks reading other apps' processes. Payments go through Dodo Payments, so buyers abroad can pay by card.

So far the buyers came from X and one Reddit post. Happy to answer anything about selling a Mac app from India.

I’m building iLinkVault, a personal Library for saved links and useful resources.

The first version was basically a bookmark manager.

But after using it myself and watching how people save things, I realized the bigger problem is not saving links.

Saving is easy.

The real problem is what happens later.

Useful links end up scattered across browser bookmarks, notes, chats, screenshots, Reddit threads, YouTube videos, product pages, and random tabs.

So I’ve been shifting the product from “bookmark manager” to “personal Library”.

What I’ve added so far:

- Categories for organizing saved links

- Collections for grouping useful resources

- Shared collections

- Vault AI to find saved links later

- Chrome extension support

- iOS share extension so links can be saved without opening the app

- Phone-to-desktop file/text transfer as a supporting workflow

The app recently crossed 200 users. Still very early, but it is enough signal to keep building.

The biggest positioning question I’m working on now:

Does “personal Library for useful links and resources” explain the product better than “bookmark manager”?

Would love honest feedback on the positioning, landing page, and whether the product feels clear.

I know this is not huge compared to bigger apps, but for an indie app I’m building myself, this felt like a nice milestone.

iLinkVault got 83 first-time downloads this month. Feels like a milestone in itself.

The app started as a bookmark manager because I kept saving links everywhere and then forgetting where they were later. Over time I added things like Vault AI, shared collections, browser extension support, and recently Temporary File Sync + Text Bridge for sending files/text from phone to desktop through the Chrome extension.

Still a long way to go, but seeing real users try it and a few people actually pay for it is honestly motivating.

For other indie iOS devs here: what helped you improve conversion after the first few small spikes?

iLinkVault Android - Bookmark Manager which does more than just saving links

Most of the times we save links to get back to them but by the time we revisit we don’t know where you saved those.With Vault AI, you can just ask about the links and it will present you all the details.

Another thing is saving on phones but not able to share the with browser on desktop so now with Chrome extension you can save on phones and visit on desktop or vice versa.

And when you have some good links you want share with your friends or family, create a collection and share it so they can view those well
