To Fusion or not....

I have an oc220 and an er605 v2, is upgrading to the Fusion 2.5 worthwhile? Should I just get the er707-m2 or jump right into the Fusion.

Dpi question

I'm playing with dpi on my router and am wondering is there a good list of apps and services I should add to the restricted list? I'm using an Omada er607 router for app control.

Outdoor ground with an EAP772

I want to put an EAP772 in my backyard. Do I need to ground it like you would a TV antenna or can I just run it to my poe switch which is plugged into a grounded outlet?

Under $1000

My goal is to implement a complete Omada network for a 4200 sqft house for under $1000

I am saving some money by wiring myself

Current orders coming in with a few items already received but can be returned

OC220 controller $89.99

2 x SG2008P switches $180.00

ER605 router $49.99

4 x 720 EAP720 access points $204.00

3 x SH20E switches $42 (replaces a mix of switches outside of the server closet to extend hardwired connections to a few rooms for gaming and remote office work)

Patch cables $30

New circuit panel circuit and outlet $13

Total $608.96

Is there anything I'm missing or that you'd switch out from the above list? I have a pool outside and want to stream media on a projector in the backyard.

New to Omada

I currently have a mix of Google gen 1 and gen 2 routers with wired backhaul. The network has been close to perfect for about 8 years. Sadly, the aps are starting to have intermittent issues and I think it's time to upgrade.

I have a 2 story 4200 sqft home.

Using the Google routers I needed 5 to reach everywhere but having no familiarity with ceiling mounted aps I am at a loss trying to figure out how many I will need.

Is it better to center the aps first or place them on opposite sides of the house long wise?

I need great signal everywhere as my wife and I work from home and our offices are on different floors and at opposite sides of the house.

Does anyone know the practical distance of the Omada aps before they clash with each other? I ordered 4 EAP720s but I'm now concerned that I over did it.

Suggestions wanted

Advice needed please

I currently have a mix of 5 nest gen 1s and gen 2s. My house is just under 4500 sqft and has 4 air conditioning units creating dead spots that are currently not an issue due to having the 5 units. They are all wired backhaul.

I am looking to upgrade and would like some ideas. The easiest option is to just slide 5 TP Link routers in place of the old. Pricing that puts me around $500.

The sexier option is ceiling mounted Omada devices which I think would reduce the number of APs to 4. Price wise it looks like that puts me around $600.

Some of the Additional cost is from running PoE to the 4 spots and the additional cabling.

So my question is what devises will I need beyond the APs to make the upgrade and is it worth the extra money to go the Omada route.

Would a different antenna make a difference?

I have an RCA attic antenna from Home Depot. It's aimed westward toward the biggest concentration of channels. I currently get 54 channels, but I'd like to get the channels in the northeast direction. The attic is over 30 feet from the ground and is big enough for a bigger antenna or maybe 2 of them. Any suggestions? I currently get none of those channels and nothing southwest.

Pool cleaner up and died

I've had an Oasis Z5 for 9 years and I loved it. What is a comparable replacement in today's models? It's overwhelming looking at all the choices.

Are these really the same with the WB being a Walmart specific skew, or are the different in a meaningful way?

Tri-band question

I am getting ready to replace my Nest v1 and v2 routers with something newer but I'm hung up on the newer tri-band options. I currently have 5 APs all wired to the the main router. Is there any reason to go tri-band if I'm not using a mesh backhaul?

This was a generic spice packet at our big Korean grocery store. It was called Chicken Wings Super Hot. I followed the directions exactly. Tossed in rub and refrigerator for 24 hours. Convection 425 for 35 minutes with a flip in the middle.
