Ed Greenwood: Storm and Dove Silverhand along with Filfaeril Obarskyr went to Woodstock!

I guess the chosen of Mystra can just portal to earth at will? Also time travel because I don't think the time in the Realms line up correctly with that of Earth. Plus Ed is still damn horny as hell lol.

[CityYacht or CityNyacht?] Mia Yamane - (You and Me Still Keep On) Fall in Love (1981)

Which side of 50 does this smooth-as-hell city pop song fall on? It helps that it's fully in English...

[Piggyback Rap] The Kid Laroi - Baby I'm Back (2024)

Here's another piggyback rap that piggybacks directly from a yacht rock song... Putting a trap beat over Baby Come Back should be illegal!

[Yacht or Nyacht] Robbie Nevil - The Magic Touch (2026)

Thanks to DanSteely96 for introducing me to this EP.

I wanted to point to this song from the EP in particular, as it's my clear favorite and should be a real boat contender when submitted even if it's a bit modern sounding.

[Yacht or Nyacht] Christian Gratz - Stay the Night (2021)

This modern yacht rocker has only one song on the boat. Going through his songs, he should have a lot more including this yachty gem with a nice doobie bounce and "Graydonesque" guitar solo.

Apparently he recently released a new EP called "1980" in June, only on Vinyl and not on any digital platforms! That shows some serious dedication towards period authenticity. Has anyone here got their hands on it?

[CityYacht or CityNyacht?] Kikuchi Momoko - Night Cruising (1986)

Came across this city pop song. Parts of it are yachty, parts of it sounds like Neverending Story. Very synthy and out of the pocket in terms of year... the definition of borderline. I like the song though, def smooth... Is this a 51 or a 49?

Where would you want to live in the Battletech universe?

If you could transport yourself to anywhere in the Battletech universe in any era, where would you personally want to live?

For me it would be, without a doubt, Canopus IV in the ilclan era. Even though I’m a guy, I think I would have a better time of it here given that the superior medical tech will be able to take care of my medical issues and make a life for myself.

That and the Magistracy is on the rise in terms of power and influence in 3152.

What are the yachtiest songs yet to be rated?

I’ve been noticing that submissions have been kinda poor in the last few weeks on the podcast. I know that there are quite a few potentially high scoring songs that have yet to be rated. The rest of the Eric Tagg album for instance… a bunch of Al Jarreau and Brenda Russell songs are also prime candidates if people would just submit them.

So let’s give potential submitters some ideas to improve the submissions and comment on this thread unrated songs that you think would score really high.

I’ll start with “Thank You” by Brenda Russell from 1981. Her 2 albums from 81 and 83 are almost all yacht IMO.,

[Yacht or Nyacht] Eric Tagg - Marzipan (1982)

One of my favorites on this hidden jem of an album. How did this only get released in Japan? This is pure yacht even with the somewhat sentimental lyrics IMO.
