Real test pressing from someone in the industry and not some promotional item they make 100 of to sell to eager fans before the album comes out!! Anyone have a Yankee Hotel Foxtrot test pressing??

Original 1984 pressing. This is the ultra-rare purple variant with some blue streaks. Color is very dark on table and requires light to see the purple. One of my most expensive purchases to date, but that's kinda the territory that comes with collecting original Plan9 Misfits. These don't come up very frequently either, perhaps 1 or 2 a year, maybe even less. Last photo includes a later pressing with a different colored logo for comparison of the original pale pink font.

I came to understand these songs as part of the Earth AD album since by the time I was getting into them the album was getting reissued with this EP in the middle of the album. I always thought those songs from this EP belonged to the album and the EP was just a cashgrab. I didn't realize until recently those songs were exclusive to this EP, and Earth AD didn't include these songs until years later. So basically, I've now concluded this is my 3rd favorite Misfits release after Earth AD and Static Age.

Just sold this but wanted to post cause it's an insane release that hurts to sell. The mono mix is a very sought after copy of this album, this is an even rarer white label promo of that mono mix. Even at the high price it sold within a day of posting. I still have another mono red label of this to enjoy, it's probably my favorite Beefheart behind Ice Cream for Crow. This is where people should start with the Beef, not trout. You're not ready, It's just going to upset you for not understanding art.

DMM mastering. Cover image has the feel of a glossy photograph. Very cool
