Bambu A1 - Overhang printing issue with Numakers

Hi All,

I have been having poor overhangs with Numakers filament, tried to change many settings, cooling, speed, volumetric speed etc but i just cant resolve it, so i started changing filaments and realized the following

Numakers PLA with (Bambu PLA Basicprofile and with Numakers PLA + profile) - Both results in poor overhangs starting at 40 degree itself, it starts sagging on the right edges! (Very Ugly).

Elegoo with Bambu PLA Basic profile no such issue till 70 , this is acceptable, wonder what is happening with Numakers

whats strange is Numakers PETG with numakers PETG profile does very good , till 80 i dont see any issues at all.

Initially i was thinking either my printer or a particular batch of filament, but i have tested with both old spool numaker PLA and new spool numaker PLA , both have the exact same issue

Check the images for detailed information

Green - Numakers OLD PLA

RED and Yellow - Numakers NEW PLA

Orange - Numakers PETG

Blue - Elegoo PLA

Anyone face such issue and know how to resolve this please

Need help with A1 false clump detection issues

I have a Bambu A1 that is experiencing slight filament leakage during long prints. This issue generally occurs on prints longer than 1.5 hours and causes the clump detection feature to pause the print. I am using Numakers PLA+ filament and printing at Standard speed.

I have already tried increasing the retraction distance and speed, lowering the nozzle temperature, and enabling the Wipe During Retraction setting, but the problem still persists.

Whenever this happens, I simply resume the print, and it continues without any further issues.

Please help how i can fix this problem

A1 excessive stringing

2 days old Bambu A1 printer , having these artifacts , i don't know what these are called, are they stringing but they are thick compared the what I see in videos for stringing, Do I need to change some retraction settings or it's humidity, I am using Elegoo PLA and in printer selected Bamboo PLA basic profile , default speeds, slicer used is Bamboo one

I tried a temp tower and it's so worse , mainly stringing is on the left side when the extruder moves to cut the filament after each layer

Advice on buying first 3d Printer

Hi All,

I am looking to get into 3d printing, most likely its for hobbying, if after experience I feel confident I will think of making it a business.

After a lot of research the obvious picks are A1 or A1 mini.

Now my dilemma is between these in the order of priority

  1. A1 mini combo vs A1 combo

  2. Flashforge AD5X

  3. Centauri Carbon

Again after reading and researching online i understand the advantages and disadvantages with different variants but I would like the thoughts of experts as well

A1 vs A1 mini is purely a size advantage , I am not sure additional 10k is worth it considering this is my very first printer and I will most likely be learning things and not making anything in volume but at the same time if I get into it very fast I don't want to feel like I should have got the A1 itself

Regarding other two options , with Centauri color printing is not possible at the moment based on what I can see, is this true , does anyone know if we can plug in an add-on unit later ?

Flashforge seems to have everything but I am not sure about the brand and reliability and user friendliness for a beginner

Please help me make a decision
