Convergence 3 resistances are overdone

I wanted to do a run only using the equipment of the starting class but it has become apparent it's not feasible.

I started with the Frenzied Zealot and Noticed a going to kill Mohg was what threw me over the edge and I changed weapon.

I then tested with 2 weapons of the same class:

- my main +8 weapon did 600+ fire damage
- a +7 Stormcaller weapon did 700+ damage

I went and backstabbed a fire resistant enemy with both weapon:

- my weapon dealt a total of 607 damage
- the stormcaller weapon dealt 1700+ damage

This means we are pretty much forced into going around with at least 2 weapons to avoid being caught in a slog.

I don't mind bosses having these high resistances, but normal enemies should not be this absurd.

Duplicate weapons

I just started playing but I have already a couple of duplicate weapons, what am I supposed to do with them?

Can they be used as upgrade materials? Can they be sold or dismantled?

MS2 soudtrack

What do you guys think of the demo's soundtrack?

I'm mostly talking about the Tar Golem fight and the title sequence music.

At first I was a bit taken aback by it because it seemed out of place for this kind of story, but it grew on me and I ended up liking it a lot. The only problem is I have not noticed it anywhere else but those 2 events.

I don't think there was even music for the last boss of the demo, if there was it was not as memorable.

The messiness of craftsmen and villagers

I've been playing for just a few days at this point and I'm sure my observations are nothing new, but I can't seem to find a specific thread on the topic.

Namely I find craftspeople and villagers both messy and useless.

Craftspeople are OK as long as there's just 2 or 3 of them, when there's 10 I spend most of my time visiting each one to browse their inventory to see if they're the one who craft what I'm looking for.

Each craftsman should have their own booth where they work so we can simply interact with the booth to start crafting instead of running around the base to find them (if they have not disappeared underground for some reason...)

On the other hand, the villagers are there just to occupy space, I think at each level of the flame they should be able to be sent on foraging mission on the biomes covered by each flame level, this would alleviate the need to lose time gathering low level resources.

Villagers could also be assigned to farm plants/vegetables, they could have a dedicated storage where we would leave seeds, and they would plant and harvest them placing the harvest in the same storage.

I cannot find the dog

Hi all, I've been trying to get the dog for 3 days now, but I just can't find him.

I searched for guides and they seem to imply the dog is just there, but I've never seen him.

I watched videos just to see what the dog looks like because I was starting to wonder if the dog was actually one of the wolves that attack in that village.

Is there something particular that needs to be done to get the dog to spawn?

Will we ever get a pause button?

It really ticks me off that in single player I lose all my buffs or get killed by a random dodo just because I have to step away from the PC...

I don't understand why these weapons can't parry.

They are far worse than any other weapon class because of this (maybe they're better in multiplayer when you can just hit enemies in the back without worrying they'll hit back).

A longsword is better in most situation than an halberd, though.

It has the same reach (better when doing a heavy attack), it has pretty much the same poise break, the same cleave radius, uses less stamina, and can parry.

I'm not saying the halberd can't be built around, but that the combat becomes laughable without parry, especially when enemies do "super armor" attacks that cannot be stopped by a heavy swing of the halberd, but can be easily parried with any other non-strength weapon.

I've levelled up from scratch using one single weapon type just to test them.

Rapiers, scimitars, and longswords are all fun to play, halberds and maces make the character a wimp that hits a couple of times then has run out of stamina or has to run in circles to wait for the stamina to come back...

The tradeoff for their higher damage should be how much stamina they consume, not the complete removal of a core mechanic.

I have no issues dealing with this boss at Normal difficulty, but at Hard it just one shots me when enraged.

I've tried building 30 vitality (with food) and using the 15% damage reduction from Conquistador's set, but even then it's a 1 hit death.

I play melee only because I don't like the guns so I have to dodge every single hit (since her damage passes through the parry), at times I've even found myself clipped inside the boss itself.

How do you feel about this fight? Have you done it? How did you manage it?
