Dual ended Blush Brush Recs

Dual ended Blush Brush Recs

I keep repurchasing the same ELF dual ended blush brush and it is great but they always break off and the hairs come loose after a short amount of time. I have some expensive brushes, my favorites being Sarah Creal and Hourglass, so I'm not against spending a bit more for quality it's just this style has been my favorite for my blush routine.

I always do a base layer of stain/cream blush and then powder to finish, and I do travel so I like to have less in one product.

I have been eyeing the Refy water blush and the cream blush one, I am leaning more on the water one for the type of fibers. But I definitely want to hear if anyone has any recs they love and hold up well!

...Is A Real Boy + Wisdom Teeth Removal Story

Relistening to ...Is A Real Boy again and it transports me back to my high school years everytime. It's also just as good as it was when I first discovered it, everytime I listen again.

But it reminds me of when I got my wisdom teeth out, back in 2007 you had a shitty ipod-esque media player if you were lucky or a cd player, so I brought my cd player and this album and had it on repeat while they put me under and all that. Well, I apparently had some bad wisdom tooth situation that they didn't catch, on one side the tooth was impacted in a way they were risking hitting a nerve that would cause permanent forever damage where I wouldn't feel anything, so a procedure that is supposed to take 20-30 minutes took close to 2 hours. That meant they had to keep putting me under a little longer, and I kept waking up in between and hearing this album playing in between. I could hear and feel the pressure of them cracking me teeth and pulling them out, the light in my eyes, and the gas mask on my face, and that in juxtoposition of this album talking about the holocaust put me in the weirdest trance/dream state. I think I have forever trauma from that a bit, but it also makes me have a special bond with the album in a weird way.

I love hearing about people's relationships to music in a personal way. I thought this was a crazy one that sticks with me no matter how much I age.

Best Gin for Multi-Purpose

I'm really a newbie when it comes to a dirty martini, my boss put me on at a holiday party and now I can't look back. I also love a simple Gin + Tonic. Wondering what your favorites are that do well in both cocktails?

My issue is I don't really know much about the different types and brands available, I just know I prefer Gin in my dirty martini, and I hate when I pick up a new brand that's way too floral and I can't use it for my martinis without getting the ick. Does that make sense?

I like Aviation so far for both, it seems pretty straight forward. Looking for new recs.

Been noticing an uptick in ALS posts

Is there a specific uptick of tick related infections that mimics specifically ALS? A study or something like this that's been released about this topic?

I've seen so many posts in the last week or so about directly ALS and lyme disease. I know people who have dealt with ALS in their family and attend ALS fundraising every year, so I know that ALS is not a direct connection to lyme, but also am aware that it can mimic lots of symptoms that ALS shares. Not really speaking on what is and isn't related, just wondering what's leading everyone to the lyme sub suddenly?

Catering Steak basically raw

I am so sorry not sorry for the horrible image here, but the catering at my job today was so raw I had to eat around the edges. I forgot to take a before image, it was mustard crusted filet mignon.

EDIT: Today I learned that filet mignon is supposed to be very rare!

Tret Sub Rule Enforcement

This is mostly for Mods, but everyone else too let me know what you think:

I love being able to help give people advice about how to use tretinoin! Troubleshooting is fun, and this sub was so helpful when I was starting and having issues with it. But I've been finding most people who post here for advice don't bother to put their routine or skin concerns, just ask why something is breaking them out more or why they're flaking.

Is there a way to sift through that to get people to put their routine? I always ask them to drop their routine because I know it's easy to not look at the sub rules, but damn...
