Tree trimming service?

Hey everyone, I have a big ol tree out front that could definitely use a trim, does anyone have any recommendations or referrals? One quote I got was $600, is that average?

Cloudy hot water

Just moved into.a new place, and am discovering more and more about my water, like my hot water incomes out very murky with a high TDS reading in my bathroom. I’m not sure what’s causing it, when we test water in the kitchen sink, it comes out much more clear, but with a similar high reading. Is this more of a water heater issue?

RO to Fridge, No Countertop

Currently in a rental, and the water is pretty rough. I was looking into installing a RO system, and since I can’t cut into the counter, just running a line to a small tank, then to the fridge/freezer. From what I understand, the small tank is helpful in relieving any pressure buildup without sacrificing water pressure to the water and icemaker in the fridge. Without a countertop spigot, am I setting myself up for failure?

I’m hoping this is something I can tackle on my own, but if it’s more complicated than I think it is, would anyone here be able to let me know what I would need, or if this is even possible to accomplish?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Lawn Service Recommendations

Trying this again. Looking for a landscaper for a small front and back yard, some grass and weeds growing in the planters.

Looking for a lawn service to come and take care of the yard. Looking for a one off, but open to ongoing.

I do not have my own tools, service would need to provide their own equipment

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Trying to automate a tweet

Im trying to create a shortcut to send a daily modified tweet, but keep getting stuck in a dead end.

This is basically what I want:

  1. Pop up modifier: “This is Day ___” either pre filled or I can type it out each time

  2. Add this to the repeated body of text “of reminding Johnny that I won”

  3. Combine 1 and 2

  4. Copy to clipboard

  5. Open X

  6. Create New Tweet

  7. Paste Clipboard

  8. Post

I’m not sure of all of this is possible, but that’s the goal of what I’m trying to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Just Moved— Free Small Trash Dump?

Hi Everyone! Just moved this week, and I’ve been settling in, unfortunately accumulating quite a bit of trash in the process. I’ve been able to drop off old boxes and such at the recycling center off Flower, but is there anywhere I can get rid of my trash? My triplex only gives us small trash cans for weekly service, and that fills up with three kitchen size bags on its own.

I’m trying to get rid of 2-3 large bags of trash, and I can’t find anything unless I’m sneaking into a construction site or something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I might have messed up, need tips.

I recently moved to the highlighted area, after living north of the 5 closer to Brace Canyon Park the past few years. The place and price were too good to pass up (in unit laundry and EV charging for under $2K!). What I didn’t realize was how much more noticeable the airport noise was, especially around bedtime hours. I’ve been in the new place for about a week and have been woken up repeatedly by low rumbling, which I’m wondering is a combination of planes/ helicopters and possibly construction vehicles heading to the new terminal construction.

I want to make this place work, and wondering if anyone on here lives in this area? Have you made any soundproofing adjustments? Thankful for any advice people are open to sharing.

Is this mold?

I’m moving and pulled this bag out of the back of my closet, the wheels are crumbling and used to be black. Is this mold/ mildew? Or just the plastic decaying?

Paint Matching

I’m moving out of my place and one of my command strips betrayed me, I’m figuring I may have a few more of those happening, so I’m going to get some paint to cover up as needed. Does anyone know how big of a paint chip Home Depot needs to match a color? This is as much as I could salvage from the strip itself.

Rounded corners on text, big stroke layers

Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out how/ why my stroke layers are getting more jagged as the size increases? My text is all rounded, but as the strokes get bigger, sharp corners begin to appear.

I tried searching for answers, and I am only finding the inverse, where people want their rounded corners to be sharp. If anyone has any insight, I’d definitely appreciate it. Thanks!

Working on a project for a friend and wanted to mimic the Colby Poster style. Whenever I try to do a gradient, the fades are too smooth between the colors. I know this is probably more of a printing effect, but is there a better way to make my gradients more defined like the example?

Mods, please delete if not allowed!

I’ve been a Burbank resident since 2018, and recently I’ve been walking around the neighborhoods by Brace Canyon Park, and have noticed a number of ADUs in the area. I’m sure a lot of these are for family members, but I was wondering if there was a place where I can see when some of these pop up as available?

Even better, if there’s anyone here with an ADU opening up for rent in the next few months, I would love to chat and see if I could be a good match! I’m month-to-month at my current place, but if something perfect comes along, I can get things wrapped up fairly quickly. I’d rather give my rent to someone other than the Cusumanos!

Looking for:

• 1 br, no studios

• Laundry

• Kitchen with stove + oven, have fridge if needed

• Parking would be nice, not a dealbreaker

• Budget $2000-$2500
