My daughter and her boyfriend are 18. They liked each other for so long and finally decided to “be boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Their “dates” consist of going over each other’s houses and watching TV, and half the time her boyfriend falls asleep. There was one day they went to a local waterpark, and once they went shopping. They have been together a little more than 2 months.

She told me last night that she’s sick of these “dates” and annoyed that he falls asleep. He’s a good kid and I know he really likes her. She tries to get him to do other things but he’s tired a lot from working and soccer practice. They also don’t really kiss or anything. She’s told me this. So aren’t they just best friends? This is all so strange to me.

I’m just wondering in general, is this what dating is today? I know everything is so expensive nowadays so it’s hard to go out to dinner.

I listen to her and I just tell her to trust her gut - I don’t get involved in any other way. I’m just more curious about this.

Please don’t come at me. I have driven about 440 miles so far and the dash said I had 34 miles until empty. I filled up but the car only took around 13 gallons. I looked it up and it’s supposed to be a 17.2 gallon tank. What is going on?

One of the reasons I got a hybrid is because I HATE stopping for gas. Has anyone else experienced this and what do you do?

I am starting on 10 mg once a week and I’m terrified of the side effects. All I hear are horror stories. Has anyone taken it and felt ok afterwards?

I have severe eye and mouth dryness. SEVERE. Muscle pain, brain fog, headaches, fatigue, etc. Rheumatologist said it sounds like Sjogrens but my labs always come back normal and my biopsy had foci, but not enough to meet the threshold. She said she would like to put me on a trial of methotrexate to see if it helps my symptoms and that would help her figure out if I have something autoimmune going on. If it doesn’t help, then she would refer me to a dysautonomia specialist since I have POTS and joint hypermobility.

Does that seem like a reasonable idea? She’s also ordering the early Sjogrens panel.

I just got a new RX 350h and I need to get a cell phone holder. I don’t want to stick anything onto my car or ruin anything, but I need to be able to see my phone.

I would like to know why us human females are doomed to go through perimenopause at the same time we’re expected to send our children off to college and deal with aging parents.

I am on prometrium, the estradiol patch, a testosterone troche, and just recently started vaginal estrogen. So far, I’ve had a positive experience with all of them and can’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t.

But Dear God, why is my vagina burning and itching all the time? How is it possible that I had a UTI and a yeast infection three weeks ago, treated both of them, and now I have another confirmed UTI and yeast infection? I do not have time to keep running back-and-forth to the doctors’, giving urine samples and taking off my pants for swabs.

My kids have been up my ass for the past 18 years and now they are barely home and I can’t even have sex with my husband because I want to rip my vagina out (if that was a thing).

I just needed to vent and I know you all would understand. This shit is for the birds.

My mom’s stepdad is getting old and just turned 90. He has a couple of properties on the east coast in the US (PA, NJ, and ME) and some good money in the bank. He has a few nieces and nephews that he doesn’t see too often but other than that it’s just my mom, who is his stepdaughter and main caretaker. He has told her that she will get almost all of assets when he dies and that he has promised the condo in PA to his nephew but we don’t think he has ever gotten a will. He just keeps saying that she’s his daughter so everything automatically goes to her and to not worry. Is this true?

Edit: My mom was never adopted by him. Her father was always in her life.

We are currently getting estimates for mold remediation and one of our hotspots is in our attic. A few different kinds of mold were found on the rafters in the form of thick dust. One of the companies we are getting estimates from had a guy come out who said he didn’t think that mold found in dust in the attic could potentially cause health issues. He said he would still remediate for us but an attic is “technically outside” and isn’t really part of the home. Is there any truth to that?

I just got home from my biopsy. It was done in a surgery center by my ENT. I did not expect such a large incision. It is in the center of my lower lip, from my teeth to the edge of my lip. The specimen he took out was a big chunk about the size of a molar. Now I’m home and freaking out. I’m in a lot of pain and I had no idea the wound would be so deep or long. Is this normal??

We’re having a mold inspector come in two weeks to assess our home. I’ve been sick for years and recently tested positive for 5 different mycotoxins. I’m so afraid they are going to have to condemn our house. If you saw my house, it looks normal. Clean, well decorated, suburban home. I have dreams of mold growing behind the walls. I’m so afraid that I’m going to have to throw everything I own away. I’m afraid that we’re going to have to spend thousands on remediation and that it won’t even work. I’ve read so many horror stories and I feel like I can barely breathe in my home.
