Brooke getting cancelled on TikTok for saying the n word

Anyone else heard of this? Apparently she said the n word in a Snapchat video 10 years ago.

They’re tearing her up on TikTok!

I will say as a black DM fan this surprised me! Even if it is old. But she did apologize and take accountability!

Edit: video is supposedly from 10 years ago not 2020. I posted a comment in this thread but I think it’s getting lost. Also I have no ill will towards Brooke and don’t hate her at all! Just wanted to hear what other black DM fans think

How to stop feeling guilty about wanting to wean

TW: oversupply + NICU mentioned!

I have 6 month twins (3 months adjusted) born at 28 weeks and I’ve been exclusively pumping this whole time. They spent 93 days in the NICU.

I have two chest freezers (that I rotate) full of breastmilk and I know it is a huge blessing! I’m just feeling a lot of guilt around wanting to stop pumping.

I’m currently down to 6 sessions a day and the freedom that comes along with weaning sounds so amazing. But the guilt is tearing me up inside. It’s been amazing feeding them from my body and I know breastmilk has amazing benefits.

I think I’m holding onto it so hard since my babies were so little and it all felt so serious.

Any tips? How did those of you who stopped pumping stop feeling guilty?

I’m pretty sure I caught Abby farting in the background of her confessional 😭

I can’t tell if I’m tripping or not but this sounds like a fart😭

You can hear it right after she says “make me” it’s kinda low and in the background.

The only reason I caught it was because I was feeding my twins and I thought they were farting I was like which one of yall is tearing it up rn 😭

It’s S3 E39😭

How long is it considered normal for baby to act different after vaccines?

*Note: I’m not saying vaccines caused these issues just writing things out as a concerned mom.

My twins are 5 months (12 weeks adjusted) and got the PCV and Hib vaccine on Friday. My daughter has been acting like her normal self but my son seems different. Before the vaccine he was rolling tummy to back, loved kicking the toys on his activity gym, and was overall just loved using his body to explore the space around him.

It’s Monday and as of yesterday he’s just been wanting to sleep and stare off into space. It’s SO unlike him. He still smiles, and coos at me and loves to interact but just diminished interest in toys and the space around him.
He was a kicking machine, lifting his head etc before Friday and he barely even lift his head yesterday or today. He still generally had good head control

He’s never slept through the night before but the last 2 nights he’s been sleeping from 7:45p-7:45a. We’ve actually been having to wake him up to eat.

Idk something just seems off.

I understand the Baby Buddha hype now

*Warning: I have twins and a slight oversupply.

I stopped responding to my Spectra over the past week and it was driving me insane. I replaced all my parts, dug into my back up flanges and changed my sizes, made sure my pumping bra still fit, made sure I was hydrated etc. everything that is recommended online. I just kept feeling like the suction wasn’t enough and that I wasn’t fully being emptied. I even chalked it up to my period coming since I’ve been feeling crampy etc

My pump sessions kept resulting in 9oz-10oz and it was taking me 30 mins to pump. When I usually get 12-16oz in 12-15 mins

I decided to put ole reliable away and try the Baby Buddha I bought months ago but was way too scared to use.

It sucked the soul of out my body but I’ve adjusted and FINALLY feel empty

The anxiety of seeing this in the MOTN with no jar next to you + stuck to the wall

Does this happen to anyone else? 😭 thankfully I didn’t spill milk anywhere

Edit: I should have mentioned I have twins, therefore I have a twin supply.

Forgot to set my MOTN pump alarm. How screwed am I?😭

I’m in the twin “newborn” trenches (my twins are 3 months but 4 weeks adjusted) and I’ve been soooo exhausted that after we got done feeding the babies I went right back to sleep instead of pumping. I missed my 2:30am session, and my 5am one was pushed back by 45 mins. My last pump session was 10pm last night.

When I woke up this morning this morning my boobs were SO engorged that I could barely fit the flanges on me I didn’t even feel my letdown. My boobs just immediately started draining and I pumped 25 ounces 😭

How screwed am I? Will this impact my supply? I do have a twin supply (65-70ounces a day) with a slight oversupply. I made sure to drain my boobs fully.

Made the stupid mistake of not tracking my frozen supply. What now?

I had my twins at 28 weeks in Feb by emergency c section in the middle of the night due to a cord prolapse. They had a 3 month NICU stay and now that they’re home I’m finally starting to realize how much milk I have. But the problem is I’ve never tracked how much I’ve stored. The past 3 months have been SO high stress. I was dealing with my babies being born so early, navigating the NICU, our dog got extremely sick and started having grand mal seizures etc.

They’re 3 months (about to be 4 now) and I’ve filled up two Hisense Chest Freezers (5 cu ft) to the top (attached picture for reference). I want them to take breastmilk until they’re at least one year of age due to how premature they were.

I’m honestly so tired of pumping, and I can’t wait to be done but I have no clue how much milk I have. I labeled the individual milk bags but not the zip loc baggies. Tbh most days I was just trying to make it through the day and didn’t even think about tracking my pump sessions

I’m currently pumping about 65-70oz a day.

Twin sleep schedule. Im going insane.

My twins were born 28 weeks and both spent 90 something days in the NICU (came home last Thursday). They’re currently 3 months (3 weeks adjusted)

Now that we’re home life and sleep is a dumpster fire. Neonatologist only discharged us with the condition that we would be on top of feeds every 3 hours and not a minute later.

They’re both 9 pounds now and their weights have trended upwards nicely. However the both still struggle with bottle feeding and need to be paced. I’ve tried to do it on my own and it is impossible. My daughter chokes, and my son gulps. We tried moving down a nipple size to Transitional and they would get frustrated and fall asleep. They do well with my husband and I both waking up to feed them so we can watch stress cues while eating etc.

On top of that my daughter has terrible reflux. We keep them upright in the twin z for about 15-20 minutes and even then she’s arching her back out of discomfort, grunting, gagging etc. She struggles to burp and has terrible gas to the point she wakes up screaming. I try to fart her but it’s a hit or miss and I’m not quite comfortable using the Frida Windi on her. She does okay with gas drops.

My son has 100% started to roll over in his sleep. I caught him on his face 3 times in a day and that was it. I decided it’s time to he unswaddled but he loves being swaddled up! He will not enter a deep sleep and will whine throughout the time he’s supposed to be asleep and then actually fall asleep a few minutes before it’s the next time to eat and then the cycle continues again. But he sleeps fine throughout the day.

For me. I got one hour of sleep last night :) My head is pounding. I’m exhausted. I wanna do shifts but it’s not feasible at this point because they have such high needs with feeding.

Idk what to do. Please please please give some tips. I think they can go longer stretches without eating but don’t have their doctor appt until next week to ask.

Mamas, what hard thing are you going through with your little one right now?

Just a place for all of us to laugh so we don’t cry 🫶🏽

I’ll go first

My twins are 3 months (3 weeks corrected)

For me, my son is struggling with not being swaddled anymore when sleeping. He hates sleep sacks/suits, and hates one arm out as well.

My daughter gets trapped gas and it makes her very uncomfortable. I help her fart multiple times a day and gripe water/gas drops don’t help. But she is getting better and is learning to relax to fart.

Babies finish bottles with husband but not with me?

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has had this happen?

I’ve noticed my babies only eat well for my husband. He’s been able to get my daughter to finish 5 bottles and my son to finish 2. But when I feed them I can only get them to finish 50-70% of a bottle.

Today my daughter finished 2 back to back bottles with my husband and only ate 60% of her bottle when I fed her.

I just want them out the NICU and idk what to do. My husband works so he can only attend one care time during the week and he does Fri-Sun with me.

When speech observed they say I’m doing fine but clearly not.

I spend so much time at the NICU I feel like I should have this down already.

We’re headed into week 13 and I can’t take it anymore. I’ve already lost so much time with them.

Hello!

28+1 b/g twins will be 40 weeks tomorrow. My daughter is doing so well finishing 60-70% of her bottles and has now fully finished 3 bottles (yay!)

Her first finished bottle was 4/29 and she also finished one 4/30 and 5/1. Today she didn’t finish any had a couple sleepy feeds. I’m waiting for it to still click for her and for it to take off and it’s so hard bc the finish line is getting closer.

My son is doing better and finished 40-60% of his feeds as he was initially doing 10-20%
