Other things i remember are:
a video where the story is about a civilization that respawns in different dimensions and learns to survive in them and they end up in one universe where the wind kept blowing, one of them eventually goes to check out the source and discovers its a massive creature exhaling.

Im getting really desperate here. The discord link on the github page for that mod isnt working and i really need help with something. if anyone here is a Gunsaw player AND has the mod, can you please help a guy out and post a working link QwQ

i have no idea what to do, idk how to message the developer since i cant post comments on itch. io and i dont know how else to get into contact with the community.

For some reason the discord link in the github doesn't work. Im just trying to find more guides on how to use the level editor cause i have no idea how to use values and triggers, if anyone can help that would be great

Most stories i read (on reddit and elsewhere) have discord servers where the author directly interacts with the readers and where ppl discuss and talk about the story, im wondering if thats the case here or the reddit is the only place we have.

Note: This is just the summarized version of the fic, i planned to make this a more detailed, multipart thing but my depression would not let me do that, so instead i just got the idea out there before it could die with me -w-

please enjoy, and this is my first time making a fanfic so expect errors where they come.

Title: Pressure.

Years into the project, higher ups from the company begin putting pressure on the department in charge of the entire expie project to retrieve the tech that was lost in the depths of The Grey Planet. Why now? Well, Why would they tell?

Either way, their days of throwing cannon fodder into the caves out of curiosity are coming to an end, and now they actually need to equip the expies with something more than basic training and an emergency light if they have any hope of retrieving their mysterious mcguffin.

To achieve this, a drop pod was repurposed into a piloted drill where the specimen would be shielded from the elements of The Grey Planet whilst being able to brute force their way through the caves.

Specimen 176022 was chosen for this mission, as such, they received training on how to pilot the drill alongside the standard training drills all expies were subjected to before being sent down.

This simple chain of events would later go on to help bring upon the end of the darkest era of Sawian history.

Specimen 176022 and their drill pod made landfall on The Grey Planet just like every other pod and specimen before them, except this time, the expie didn’t immediately exit the pod and begin their descent. Instead, they proceeded to drill down through the gravel, slowly but surely making their way through the layers.

Along the way, they encountered other survivors that joined them inside the drill, deciding that their chances fared better in the safety and comfort of the drill pod.

Two expies on the first and second gravel layers, which helped repair the drill when the pilot tried to mine into inifinirock to see what would happen. A Milky on the wasteland layer which helped reinforce the pod against soundcannons using the rubber padding from old drop pods, and finally a Dune in the jungle layer who helped the team take down a rather large thornback that almost destroyed the drill.

Along the way, the five specimens gave each other nicknames and grew closer together as they descended, eventually finding a camera and audio tapes from previous expies that didn’t make it.

As they talked amongst themselves about the cruelty of their situation, they quickly realized that the humans who sent them here probably weren’t going to give them the freedom they promised. They also realized that whatever technology the humans sent them to get was probably dangerous and would kill them the moment they got close. With this conclusion, the group decided to turn tails and go back up the tunnel they dug, past through all the blood, carnage, and rock in hopes to find some kind of escape.

However, they discovered through one of the audio tapes that they couldn’t leave the caves or the chips implanted in their brain would kill them. Racking their minds, the milky remembered getting a glimpse of a screen back on earth that one of the scientists were monitoring, it showed the vital signs of expies that were currently on the planet. They quickly realized that the brain chips were capable of transmitting a signal out of the caves and back to earth, maybe through some kind of relay network.

They formulated a plan to hack their brain chips and make it send the videos and audio they collected back to earth in the hopes of exposing the cruelty of the company knowing that there were at least some sympathetic humans that would understand their plight. If they couldn’t leave the caves, then exposing the company would be their next best attempt at salvation for their species.

The group stopped at an old facility with a working computer where the milky hacked into the pilot’s brain chip, hijacking the signal it was sending out. Since the signal bandwidth was so small, they needed an unobstructed connection with the surface. The group made their way back up to the very first gravel layer where they found a wide enough opening to see the sky, most of the group remarked on how happy they were to see the grey clouds again, even if it's for a little while.

The pilot got as close to the surface as they could without triggering the killswitch, using the instruments on the drill to help amplify the signal.

They succeeded and videos and audio files were sent to earth showing expies as more than the mindless animals the company made them out to be.

The following scandal started a civil war within the company between the sympathetic humans and the corporate leaders trying to maintain control of the situation, eventually though, the company fell under too much scrutiny from the government. whistleblowers and information leaks became too much for the company to keep under the rug and it was eventually disbanded with all personnel involved either being arrested or going into hiding.

The fight is far from over however, but at least now the Experiments were no longer being systematically tortured and sent to die on a cold, gray rock anymore.

The technology for creating the Specimens would be fought for by many world powers and corporations, the remaining expies on earth would eventually all be shipped out to The Gray Planet to start their own civilization after the governments agreed that integrating them into human society would be too difficult. 

The fate of the group on the drill pod remains unknown, but as for the rest of their species? The bloodshed finally stopped and they were given hope for the first time in their lives for a destiny beyond being a statistic.

Think about it, irl us humans get hella medical complications just by existing. Joint pain from being bipedal, tooth problems, cognitive decline with age, mental health problems resulting from our own doing.

Basically, the way we evolved made it so that, no matter what, we encounter problems down the line that we have to fix ourselves instead of nature already having a fix for it.

Same thing the humans of C:U did with the expies and their offshoots, except a bit more intentional and crueler. :(
