21 Crosstrek Sport - Parking brake rubbing inside new rotors
Hello all. Saw an old post about this but was not quite the solve I need. I replaced the pads and rotors on our 21 Crosstrek Sport over the weekend. Brakes and drives well. 112k, all highway with a 100 mile daily commute. Replaced the original pads and rotors.
The parking brake seems to be rubbing inside the driver rear rotor. I have taken off the rotor and adjusted the star turnbuckle down so that the parking brake shoe diameter is as small as it seems to go, but I can hear/feel a slight rub right at the top of the rotor. It’s also audible when driving. Aside from disassembling the parking brake completely, I’m at a stopping point on the next move. Considered sanding down the parking brake shoe some. When I put the old rotor on, it also has the run, although it was not like that before so had changed them.
