Very long wasp
Saw this very long wasp on a nature walk in Northern NH. She seemed interested in my shoes and the Joe-Pye weed that was growing nearby. She flew very quickly I barely managed to get this picture.

Just getting back into songwriting after a long hiatus. Any feedback on this? I’m pretty happy with it, but unsure if it feels like it’s missing something.
I’m new to linocut, so any advice or suggestions are welcome!
I was having a hard time getting the acrylic paint I was using to stamp with to apply cleanly to the paper, not sure if I was using too little or too much.
When I paint I usually use this 1” flat brush on the largest areas and then progress to the medium and small round brushes for details.
What brushes do you use for watercolor? Are there any that you’d suggest I try to get brushstrokes that would be hard to get with these 3?
Thanks!
Used a white crayon to resist the watercolor where the sea spray is
Lately I’ve been carrying around a travel watercolor kit, water brush and a small sketchbook to draw more from life. Landscapes have always been a challenging to me, but I’m trying to push myself.
Do you have any advice or critiques on my work? I’d appreciate any pointers as I really feel lost when I try to paint scenery.
