Explain like im 5: Unearth and AE2

Title kinda says it all, but can someone please run me through how to setup a perpetual Unearthed farm using AE2 as a baseline?

Rn ive got 6 Unearthers running Dirt Sand Dust Gravel Netherrack and End Stone along with a series of pre-programmed Molecular Assemblers for the metal Chunks and a bunch of Drawers with void mods for the, everything else (saplings, Andesite/Diorite pebbles, and the like)

But, im having issues with the inputs and output overflows, specifically for Brushes because the farm stalls after a bit because they burn through brushes, and the Netherrack/End Stone supplies run out because I didnt amass 24k+ materials.

How can I use AE2 to manage both raw and crafted inputs, and is there a better way to manage the overflow of the materials I dont want like the Archeo-Saplings?

Plz and Thx! I would supply images but honestly the layout is suboptimal and probably more confusing than helpful 😅

TIAv21 Help - PLC Network Sim issues

Morning Brains Trust.

Im working on a PLC sim for a network of components.

Im trying to simulate a Siemens 1517F-3 PN/DP PLC, an ET 200SP IM155-6 PN ST distributed I/O module (containing a DI 8X24VDC, DQ 8x24VDC/0.5A, and F-DI 8x24VDC), and a TP700 Comfort HMI.

I used PLCSIM Advanced to make an instance for both the PLC and the ET 200SP.

So far ive been using TIA Portal v21 and PLCSIM Advanced v8.0 to try to simulate the network, but when I try to simulate the HMI, I get the error: "190011 Tag PB_START: value could not be written to the PLC"

I tried to strip the PLC of all its safety restrictions, the PLC tag itself has full view/read/write permissions for a HMI, and every user has full Admin privileges (HMI, Drive, PLC F, and NET), but I still cant figure out why the Sim isnt working.

One thing I did notice is that the ET 200SP instance isnt "running" because there isnt anything downloaded to the instance, but from what I can tell, only the master controller needs to be downloaded, because the ET is slaved too it.

Is there something im missing? A setting or step that I missed?

Digital Patterns too Small

Hi all,

I picked up some digital patterns online and its got 4 sizes, XS to L. I think that the Large size is too small after I made a mockup.

What's the best way to try to make it bigger? Should I just scale it bigger when I print it?

Additionally, im not 100% sure if its a Femme or a Unisex pattern, does anyone have any tips on how to adjust a pattern to be Masc?

Execrator Hobby Question

Im working on getting my Templars Crusade force some Chaplain support, because so many of our detachments have Chaplain support and Execrators are so good.

But im having issues sourcing Skull Helmets, and so im scheming some alternatives.

Basically, would it be weird/misleading if I put Chaplains on the table with black armour and no skull helmets, while leading Flesh-Tearers-Red marines?

Moreso as "Black Knights" instead of Skull Faced Priests?

Pants, Gussets, and Knees

Hi everyone,

Im looking at making some pants for some high-physicality hobbies, and last time I made two pairs, I got a bad rip in the crotch seam where the four seams met in one, and the knee perpendicular to the seam in the other. So, I need to figure out a way to alter the pattern to made it, less ripable.

For the crotch seam, ive made a Gusset to redistribute the tension from that central seam. Im more than happy to have more options/advice on that one thou.

For the knees, im not sure the best way to reinforce it. I considered iron-on interfacing, but Id prefer to not have any seams across the knee, if I can help it.

Can a narrow gusset on the outside leg seam help distribute the tension from across the pant leg to along the leg? Or is this generally not something people do for a reason?

Thanks all!

Judiciars, 11e, and Fights First

Okay so, this edition from what ive seen a common brick is a Judiciar leading a 6 man squad of Bladeguard Veterans. Fights First on a brick like this is mildly terrifying to charge as they'll kick your teeth in, regardless of charge bonus.

But with 11e's new rule where the attacking player can pick something to fight, before anything with Fights First does, how are people thinking this unit is going to go into the new edition? Is the Judiciar/BGV brick going to lose favour in the new ruleset or nah?
