Moving to Darwin from UK

My husband, son and I will be moving to Darwin at some point in 2027 (visa pending). We're from London and we're very aware that moving to Darwin is going to be a bit of a culture shock. Can anyone share their experience of moving to Darwin from a very different place? What was the hardest thing to adjust to? And what do you enjoy the most about Darwin now?

TIA!

Did I over estimate points?

I claimed for a year when I was on maternity leave. I was employed the whole time and paid the whole time (although 4 months at the end of the year with reduced pay but still paid). I went back to the same job, same pay, same duties etc. Can I claim points for this year still?

If I can't is there anything I can do after receiving an invite?

Weird feelings about OAD

I'm very definitely one and done through choice. I can't do it all again for various reasons. But today I met with a group of friends from school that i've not seen in nearly 10 years and a couple had two kids or one and another on the way and I thought how come they can do it and I feel I can't? Like why don't I have that drive to have multiple kids? What makes someone think yup lets do this all over again... and again... and again. I can't fathom it and feel kinda bad I don't want another when it's normal to have multiple kids. My experience of pregnancy and Post partum were difficult but I know some of my friends also had similar experiences and yet choose to do it again. Is there some kind of amnesia that they've got and I happened to not get?!

What is the best board/card game to get two singleton talking?

I want to set up my best friend and my husband's best friend but they're both very shy and reserved people. I don't want to force anything but I'd like to get them talking. I was thinking we could have a BBQ with a couple of other friends and we'd play some board/card games and I'd team them up so they have to interact together. We're all 36-38 years old.

Anyone have any ideas of games?

Moving areas of law

My husband is a commercial property solictor which doesn't travel well and we want to live elsewhere (literally anywhere English speaking) in the world. I've asked him about moving area of law and he said it's basically impossible for him to do now (he's like 9 years PQE). Is he being dramatic or is he correct?
