Springo: Herbal tea
A lovely polish that's very difficult to photograph... perfect match for my mug that's also very difficult to photograph 🙃
We got April (and May) showers at home
I think this is my most rainy day sky blue! Plus a picture of the matching rain clouds that I took TODAY, just in case you thought April showers ended in April - not around here 🌧️
We got princess pink at home
Here's my "pink princess" pick for pink lovers bingo, is there anything more girly than a sparkly pink holo?
Also a truly classic example of having polish at home 🫣 I got this one as a mystery polish months ago and had never worn it because it's not something I'd have chosen tbh. But once I put it on I realised I actually really like it! Most of the time (when not in direct bright light) it looks like pic 2, a shiny shimmer, and then in the sun you get to see the tiny rainbow sparkles. Still not entirely "my" kind of colour but it's fun, I definitely want to use it more in future as a palate cleanser or maybe in skittles!
We got rainbow brights at home
Fun with jellies! I'm calling this one for 'Get Lucky' in the spring bingo because I just kind of made it up as I went along with no plan and I really love it, so I feel lucky! 😅 The mix of colours just also feels like a lucky dip to me.
Springo: May Queen
Completed a line on the spring bingo card with this 'May Queen' look, ft an unholy number of photos 😅 because it's so pretty! Plus some of them are the "inspiration" (all my own photos)
Perfect blue
I know I'm not the only one who's been searching for their dream cobalt/Yves Klein inspired 'International Klein Blue'! I think I found mine: Maylandia from UK indie brand Prism Polish.
- A England The Knight base coat
- 2 coats Prism Polish Maylandia / on my right hand in pic 3: 2 coats Ard As Nails Sky Blue
- Prism Polish Glaze top coat

Springo: White water lilies
It's kind of a different look for me, but I found myself in the mood for pearly white nails this week! I feel like it fits this inspiration image for 'water lilies' (although I am just now realising I don't know if lotus and water lily are the same thing or not...), white with a little something. Still working on nursing my dry skin back to health after the winter btw 🥲
I looove magnetics done in the velvet style so it would make sense to try one when I got to the prompt 'Velvet Rose' in pink lovers bingo, but I didn't have any pink magnetic polishes. But what I DID have is a gold one, red and pink polishes, and an empty bottle, so I decided to give frankening a go 🤩 And I'm quite pleased with the result! It's not the strongest magnetic effect ever, and tbh it's not the kind of colour I would usually gravitate to (I guess that makes sense why I didn't already have something similar) but I'm actually really enjoying wearing it - it feels kinda classy, like a neutral with just enough fun to keep it interesting. Very demure?
Ft. far more photos than is reasonable for this because I found it really hard to capture the colour as well as the velvetisation. I feel like it's more pink in person but looks kinda taupe/nude in many of the pics? Oh well! Also tried it as a (fuzzy) cat eye on my right hand!
I'm calling this one 'Spring Cleaning' just because these colours kind of make me think of toothpaste - though, just to be clear, I do clean my teeth more than once a year... 🤭
Honestly also just wearing a nice simple creme (for a change) always has sort of like a spring clean vibe too, though. Palate cleansing, I guess? Please excuse the slightly rubbish first photo btw, wanted to show you both hands but my phone camera didn't want to focus on the nails!
Picking back up with the Pink Lovers Bingo, here's my "a very sweet skittle" nails! Does this even count as a skittle? Idk but it's what I felt like doing and it's fun! I used ten pink polishes 🙃 plus the black and white details with nail art pens.
Bonus pic featuring my cat's head because she saw me taking photos and wanted to get involved 👼
I'm calling this one 'Before the Storm' for spring bingo... not sure that I can claim I've ever seen a storm cloud that was this colour exactly, but I feel like it's blue and it's dramatic, close enough! I've tried to show how shiny and glowy it is in two different lighting conditions.
Pls do not look at my dry skin, only look at the polish, thank you 🥲 I wanted a little break from spring-appropriate pastels and I love this!
Products used:
- A England The Knight base coat
- Cuccio Making Waves (1 coat)
- OPI Scorpio Seduction (2 coats)
- Prism Polish Glaze top coat
Edited to fix a typo in the polish's name! 🙃
I love spring, I love cherry blossoms, and I love these nails! You get a bunch of photos because I really enjoyed them - particularly the magically shifty shade I used as the base colour on my left hand 🤩 Plus I went to the botanical gardens with these and put my hands next to several beautiful plants and trees, haha.
