Those who bought brand new- did you do a break-in oil change at ~1000 miles?

We purchased a new GHHL last week, currently now at 300 miles. Planning to do an oil change in a few weeks at ~1k miles at my local mechanic, then at 5k interval at same mechanic. Then take to toyota for the free maintenance at 10k. Wanted to see if others are also doing the 1k break-in oil change. Thank you!

Just Purchased a GHH Limited storm cloud today!

Backstory: Went to a dealership (location:AZ) this morning to put a deposit on a GHH nightshade, salesman tells me it ended up getting reserved last night. He then offers this storm cloud model as an option and says will give me a great deal. We weren’t really prepared to negotiate today so didn’t have a rate from a bank or anything etc. but still we say okay what’s the deal - comes back with the deal of MSRP $59,750+$3k in add-ons. Tells me every new car is $5k worth of add-ons but will do it at cost for us of $3k. I tell him no add-ons. We go back and forth a bit and end up with no add-ons, $500 below msrp, interest rate of 5%. To feel better i look at is as $5,500 off the initial price lol. GF is pregnant so she needs a mom car and doesn’t want to deal with going to another dealership again, so overall we are happy with the deal.

Just played in a hockey tournament with the actor who played young Ben Linus

Played hockey this weekend in a tournament and was told a guy on the team was an actor. I asked what shows he was in and they told me lost! So i looked him up and he played young Benjamin Linus. After the game i went up to him and told him i am obsessed with lost and that is was so cool to play hockey against an actor from the show. Wish i got a picture with him. Thought id share with the group.

Message exchange with a delivery driver

Thoughts? I actually liked the first message, but then once the second message started talking about paying for repairs and giving a range of how much they make completely turned me off. Personally for me the Uber Eats/door dash/instacart drivers are the biggest complainers. I actually did tip because i wanted my order to get picked up asap but i lowered the tip after the message. Discuss.

I see a lot of posts on how uberone is a ripoff and when you link your amex to your uber account the rideshare is always more expensive than Lyft. So i decided to test it for food delivery, compared 3 different orders between ubereats and doordash. Each order was $4-5 cheaper on ubereats when compared to Doordash. I dont really use food delivery apps in general because of the well known high fees, but i thought this data point was interesting.
