Hey all, I recently tried out a Fender Telecaster Deluxe which sounded great, but specifically on the neck position, as the bridge pickup didn’t really have the telecaster sound that I like, so it got me thinking to mod my guitar to be a “best of both worlds” type build with a wide range humbucker in the neck, and regular telecaster bridge pickup.

So, would this be possible while keeping the rest of the electronics the same? I know that humbuckers have a higher outputs, but does that actually matter if I don’t really care about the sound in the middle position? Also, could I just splice the current neck pickup wires to replace the pickup, or is there something I’m missing with that?
